Random Wrestling Video of the Day12/5/2015 Before I get going with some of the big posts set to hit the site later on in the year, I decided to change things up as we are going to take a little break from this series. Since I started writing a few years ago this has been my favorite post series to do, because there is really no basis for the post and allows for some freedom. The weekend is here so let go of the week with some funny moments from the WWE and actually get some and entertainment for once!

A New Pro-Wrestling Drama12/4/2015 Apparently FOX has recently purchased a new pro-wrestling drama titled The Work. The Work takes place in the world of pro-wrestling and was written by Scott O'Connor, who wrote the novels Half World and Untouchable. The script was shopped to various cable networks, but FOX picked up the show. O'Connor has been a pro-wrestling fan for a long time and actually wrote a piece on Brock Lesnar for New York Times Magazine this past August. I think that this type of thing will be a breath of fresh air for pro-wrestling, because nothing like this been on TV before so it's something new in an age old sport. If this series can "get over" remains to be seen as their probably is a reason why a show like this has never made it on TV before.

Drew Gulack to WWE??12/2/2015 At this point WWE has been busy signing talent off the indies and other international talents. With the newest class of signed talent just starting at the performance center a few weeks ago and the class included Indy stars like Rich Swann and Biff Busick. Those guys are just only two of the many top independent stars that WWE has taken in over the last year or so and now with rumors that Drew Gulack maybe heading to the WWE surfacing it makes you wonder where will WWE stop when it comes to signing top Indy stars.
Now I don't want you to think that this means Drew will be leaving all the companies he is a part of currently to join NXT next year, because at least right now that is not the case. All that is know is Drew was present at a recent WWE tryout a few months ago and did well. Which means the likelihood of him getting signed is raised a lot higher then normal. However, at this point he hasn't signed with the company but has went on record saying that basically he can't talk about his status with the company right now possibly due to a confidentiality agreement, but it could for another possible reason. He would go on to say that if he had signed with the company he would tell someone and everyone would know so in a way he's saying do the math. Right now it's pretty much easy to tell that Drew Gulack will be remaining on the Indies for the time being, but just imagine him debuting in the WWE. I can picture his vignette being something to promote his campaign for a better WWE. Wouldn't that be something different!!! |
