It has been 14 years since the worst tragedy on American soil took place that being the tragedy that took place on September 11, 2001. On that day American's pulled together and showed our strength against outside threats, as thousands poured into New York City to help with recover. Other tried to figure out how to try and return to normalcy and not display fear even in a very dark time. One of those men who tried to spark a return to normalcy was Vince McMahon, and what he did was hold the largest public assembly of it's kind after 9/11, I am speaking of the 9/13/01 episode of Smackdown that my friends is the most passionate episode of Smackdown I have ever seen. For those who don't know even back in the early part of the decade Smackdown was taped on Tuesday, so yes that means it was supposed to be taped on September 11, 2001 but it never happened because the WWE let everyone have off. Then they came back to work and had the Smackdown on the day it airs Thursday, so they had it live in Dallas Texas. Throught the show WWE & Alliance superstars alike we sending their Well Wishes to New York & those who lost people on 9/11. On that night they should patriotism & a large amount of Nationalism for the US and express it in the small videos on the show. Below is a link to the show:
14 years ago in my opinion the worst tragedy in US History took place and even though years have past will still honor those lost on that day and hold them in them in highest regard for the sacrifices they made. Also we remember that we are proud to members of this Great Nation. God Bless the USA!!!
I love looking back wrestling's past. I view my job as bring new life to the part of wrestling some people thought was gone.
