Back in the 1980's the wrestling tradition around the major wrestling promotions was running big events on Thanksgiving night. The original night for the WrestleMania of WCW which was Starrcade was held on Thanksgiving night from 1983-1987 until it was moved to the month it became known for which was December. The WWE didn't hold their biggest show on Thanksgiving, but it did become their second ever PPV ever which was Survivor Series. That is right for the first few years the WWE held Survivor Series on Thanksgiving Night, even when it didn't fall on a Sunday.
Though now it would never happen, because no company in my opinion would be able to get a fair amount of buys to run on Thanksgiving night due to many factors. But now I recreate this one time tradition by taking you back in time to witness the past let's go back in the wrestling time machine to the years when wrestling was the focal point of Thanksgiving night. Enjoy!!
I love looking back wrestling's past. I view my job as bring new life to the part of wrestling some people thought was gone.
