Though this started as a series for the ROH section looking through I really thought about it and decided to expand the series to this section as well. This way we can look back at some of forgotten stars of Impact Wrestling. Now there is a ton of talent that had only a handful of appearances for the company which opens the door for a variety of alumni to retrace. This random selection for the opening star is the former Sangriento better known as Amazing Red. For those who may not remember Amazing Red was actually one of the founding members of the X-Division with names like Jerry Lynn, AJ Styles, Low-Ki and others leading the charge along with him.
During his first run with the company in the very early days he would become both an X-Division and NWA World Tag Team champion holding the tag belts with Jerry Lynn. For the next three years he would be in and out of the promotion before returning to the company in 2009 after four years away from Impact. Red would then return to the company in the spring of 20009 as Suicide's partner in the Team 3D Invitational Tournament. Soon after his return to the company he would move back to the X-Division and would once again become X-Division champion after a shocking win against Samoa Joe. Red would hold the title one more time before leaving the company for good in 2011. Overall I would say that the legacy that Amazing Red has left on Impact Wrestling is one of someone who fit his role. Red was always in the company when the X-Division was very deep and just fit in that position but after a while you need to change things up in that division to avoid things getting stale. Now the man once managed by Don West is handling his own training center and promotion. Though he isn't retired at this point he is semi active and I think it might be fair to say that his time in the fast moving X-division might be in the past.
