It seems as though at this point the growth among wrestling companies is coming not in the United States, but is coming for those international companies located elsewhere. Everyone at this point knows the amount of waves that NJPW has made in the states this year and the sort of lack of headway made by AAA in the states this year. However, AAA has made some smart investments like brining back legends like Rey Mysterio and Alberto El Patron after years of missing their drawing power. Even though the PPV that AAA aired in the US didn't go to well and we will likely not see another AAA PPV in the states for a while they are still looking to bring in some talent from the states like Sonjay Dutt, Brodus Clay, Johnny Mundo, Low-Ki, and various others.
For every positive their is a negative as it seems the WWE has kept their eyes on Lucha Underground really since the show started. Many didn't think that the show would be back for a second season due to how long the announcement took to come out and where surprised when the announcement finally did come out. The reason they have been keeping their eyes on Lucha is to keep there eyes on some talent specifically Prince Puma (aka Ricochet). For those who may not know Puma his ring style is very similar to that of Neville and is a little younger then Neville which is saying something. Ricochet is currently 27 but just signed a long-term extension with Lucha. Though WWE has had interest in Ricochet for a few years now the his contract with Lucha will prevent anything from happening at least in the near future.
