It was a few months ago that I wrote about another new promotion coming together in the upper Midwest specifically Sioux falls, South Dakota. The company is run by former WWE superstar Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore. For those who maybe unaware Nick is a legend from Ohio Valley Wrestling as he is one of the biggest stars to come out of that company. Now he has chosen to give back to the business.
The name of his company is Midwest All-Pro Wrestling, his first event was held on November 8 in Sioux Falls. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be given to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Dinsmore had this to say about the event "I knew I wanted to do a show that gave back to the community. I wanted to do a show that gives back to the local veterans and to have a veteran come and participate -- a friend of mine, a guy that I trained in professional wrestling is indescribable."
As of this writing current Top Independent Mexican wrestling Flamita, the kid is only 20 years old and has been working for Dragon Gate and is currently considered one of the top highfliers in the business. Apparently Flamita has recently informed various independent promoters in Mexico that he's not taking anymore bookings. Recently he was offered a contract by AAA and accepted the deal with the company and will be a part of Lucha Underground in the upcoming season.
It seems as though Flamita will have the name Fireball with the company. Due to the taping schedule of Lucha still being relatively unknown for anyone outside of the company. This kid seems to be just another reason why Lucha is one of the more unique companies in the US.
The mysterious company known as Classic Wrestling Revolution has given some more details about the company, also somewhat of a window for when we can expect more details to come out. It has been almost two years of rumors and unanswered questions surrounding this company, but just like with GFW we find out more info when the company is ready. Not to long ago many people believed that Jerry Jarrett would be jumping back into wrestling as a part of this company, but once details of his new project surfaced those rumors were dropped. (Click Here for more info on that)
For those who may not be aware mogul Bill Townsend is the CEO/President of the company and will be handing the business side of the company. Some people believed that Shane Douglas would be running the business side much like he was with Extreme Rising, but I guess he learned a good lesson. However, wrestling legends like Shane Douglas, Road Warrior Animal, and Jake Roberts are confirmed to have some part in this company though not many details are known right now.
As of this writing it has been said that prospective talent have been offered contracts and non-disclosure agreements which is why nobody has been reported be apart of the company. However, as Wrestlezone.com notes there isn't very much talent to chose from that isn't already signed elsewhere. Right now it has been said that the company looking to a possible January 2016 launch date which was originally set for the fall/winter of next year, but things change.
The biggest difference for the company that no other company is offering is that they are going to give talent health insurance and other benefits. Douglas has been a very big supporter of benefits being given to pro-wrestlers for a very long time. The benefits given by this company will be a step in a positive direction for protecting the wrestlers who put their bodies on the line for your entertainment and maybe help in dropping certain numbers that have damaged the reputation of pro-wrestling in recent years. Either way the information from this company has come out in short spurts, but it seems pretty good to assume more info will be coming out in early next year when the launch date nears. So we just have to wait and see.
Currently the plan seems that Lucha Underground will be taping less shows this season as the amount spent on every show was just too much and this way they don't have to cut the production value of the show. Right it seems as though they plan on shooting 12 tapings during the month of January which will likely before twenty-four shows which is down significantly from season one's thirty-nine shows.
Though it is not yet determined if the company will tape multiple episodes for each taping, but that seems very likely. In my opinion this is was a big problem for Lucha as they taped way too far in advanced and it ruined some title changes as some happened at an event 6 months before it would air on TV. But whatever works and it seems as though has established a stable fan base and is doing quite well for a relatively new company.
At the most recent NJPW event the promotion started an angle to set up a huge match at the upcoming big event in January at Wrestle Kingdom 10. The angle consists was with the IWGP Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles. That's right the Bullet Club leader will be getting his shot against the IWGP Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
This match is set to be the co-main event for the card. This will mark the first time Styles and Nakamura have faced other in a one on one match. The last time these two men were in the same ring together was seven years ago when Styles & Tanahashi vs Angle and Nakamura.
The show takes place on Saturday night live from the Rec Center in Rahway, NJ and this will be as big event that JAPW has ever put together. Also on this show they will be running a charity raffle to benefit the family of long time promoter Fat Frank who passed away recently. Let's jump right and list some matches:
JAPW 19 Anniversary Event:
First Time Ever:
Rey Mysterio vs Low Ki
Monsta Mack vs MVP
Shane Strickland vs Steve Scott vs Lio Rush vs David Starr vs Lance Anoi'a vs Azrieal
Kimber Lee vs Shelly Martinez

Jack Evans Returns
Hardy Boys set for the show
LAX (Homicide, Hernandez, and Shelly Martinez) are set to reunite
I have always wanted to spotlight the small companies and talk about the unknown talent, but I never could figure out a way to do it. When, a certain wrestling legends highly praises the indies you know that something good is happening that people need to pay attention to. Now here we go from the edge of obscurity I find some of the most talented wrestler never before seen and flying under the radar of the wrestling world.
It was reported a few days ago that current Lucha Underground star Big Ryck (the former Ezekiel Jackson) will not be back for Season 2 of Lucha Underground. Zeke recently informed the producers of the show that he will not be returning for Season 2 of the show when they start filming later this month.
As of this point not much is known about why Zeke decided to walk away from the company and many were shocked by his departure from the company. The one thing Zeke has working for him is that he is believable monster heel, but other then that doesn't really have much else working for him. What the future holds for Big Ryck seems to be uncertain, but at least we know Lucha Underground will be back later this month to begin taping for Season 2.
As many know the WWE performance center has just welcomed in a fresh new batch of talent ready for the WWE to mold and model into their vision of the future star. In many ways since the start of NXT the idea of women's wrestling being highly respected and talked about in an equal frame of mind in comparison to the men. That's what makes it all the more interesting when top flight independent women wrestlers are given the chance to come to the WWE for a tryout.
Everyone knows by now due to the high success rate for ticket sales that NXT will be in the UK in December for their first UK tour as a "separate brand." However, WWE itself will be taking part 2 of their yearly UK trip this weekend that's right November 9 kicks off what could be a very promising UK tour. The crowds are always crazy for WWE across the pond and hopefully this tour is no different.
On November 9 UK based wrestling Jodie Champagnie will be given a tryout with the company at the show in Manchester. Though I don't know a lot about or really anything about Jodie I will say that I believe the NXT women's division has been lacking a little something and maybe a signing like a Jodie Champagnie can help to shake things up a little bit. Likely a lot more to come on not only Jodie, but also just based on the tryouts in general like what talent may have attend and the likely results for said talents. But in reality it may just be better to wait and see what happens to hope everything works itself out.
As everyone knows by this point a man many thought would never return to the WWE actually shock the wrestling and make his return the company a little over a week ago at the Hell in a Cell PPV. The man also added a US title win to his resume upon his return to the company, and a victory over John Cena isn't to shabby either.
That's right Alberto Del Rio has made his return to the WWE after getting let go from the company, a little over year out of the company due to a backstage incident late last year. Del Rio seems to be a little more together and more aggressive this time around maybe it's new manager or maybe it's like some are saying that his trip home motivated him a little and now his fresh and ready to live up to the original potential that was set for him. It wasn't too long after his debut that Del Rio would become as to close a household name as possible without really becoming one in my book. Following WWE filling the need of signing a Latin American star and that apparently the justification for the title shot.
The last thing I would like to mention is that Del Rio is currently still the AAA World Champion and will be working an upcoming event for the company to help find a new champion for them to build around. Even with all that is going Del Rio is still said to be on good terms with AAA even though he walked away from the company as World Champion. This return was kept enough of a secret that AAA didn't even know until the night before the show about the return.
