CWR Update

12/21/2015

It seems to be never ending every time I think the updates will stop more come out, whoever is in charge of releasing information really knows how to keep people's attention. The expected launch for the company is still early next year. I will say from what I have read this company seems like it will be very unique from any other company around right now, but I'll let you be the judge of that:

- The TV series for the company will be called Revolution TV, with the product being promoted as "reality sports". All of the ring segments would be the reality aspect. The name of the show and the "reality sports" term were trademarked by Bill Townsend, President of CWR.

- The idea behind the promotion seems to have something to do with veterans like Shane Douglas & Animal training and managing new talents.

- Douglas has contact several wrestlers in recent months, asking if they were "ready to move to Vegas". The promotion is also looking for multiple announcers who can speak various languages.

- The promotion has been working on a launch since March 2014 when Shane first began contacting talent for them to sign letter of intent that they would be interested in working for CWR (Then known as Classic Wrestling Federation)

The biggest part of the CWR business plan is that they plan to offer talent things like health insurance benefits, or stipends, a 401k retirement plan and other benefits, and to create a profit sharing plan where all athletes share in the success of the company. It has also been said that the company plans to make a portion of the TV revenue open to retiring wrestlers as a pension plan of sorts. All these unique ideas have never been tried by a wrestling company and it will be interesting to see how the company does when they finally do launch. I guess it's fair to ask "Are You Ready for a Revolution?
