Strange title huh!! You ain't the only one who thought that, but this is the only title I could think of to fit the post I wanted to do. Fact is that this title isn't my way of saying that the fans should control what companies do on their shows or put on TV or anything like that, because that would be a very bad idea. Just still back relax and let me explain this title to you before you try and figure it out yourself.
Everyone knows that the wrestling business consists of so many companies that it's hard to keep track of which companies are active and which aren't. However, most people don't even realize that they are within walking distance from a wrestling show in most cases. Those people don't realize it because they are the ones who believe that if I am not seeing on my TV screen then it doesn't exist or it's not worth my time whatever the reason those are the worst type of fans; because they are the fans who go on social media and complain week in and week out about the show. Then they state their opinion and you better agree or boy you'll be in for it because nobody is allowed to disagree with a "Keyboard Warrior." But I will talk about this specific item of business at a later date. So back to business it doesn't matter where you are in the world there is likely a wrestling company within either walking distance or just a short drive away. Do you even know they exist?
The Independent circuit, has become known as the breeding ground for future WWE superstars as WWE has made a theme about taking known independent talent into the company. But if you walk up to a group of WWE fans and say "Did you Cesaro, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Kane, Kevin Owens, and various others actually started on the Indies." Guaranteed that fan/s will either not care or tell you your a joke and that it doesn't matter where they came from because nobody knew who they were until they arrived on Raw. Well in reality which is the not the place most wrestling fans live, everyone had a career before WWE unless they were found by WWE & put right in developmental.
However, everyone I listed above, and just to add a few names: Jerry Lawler, Mick Foley, Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Big Show, Shawn Michaels, Booker, T, Alberto Del Rio, Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes, Hulk Hogan, and the list goes on. all of these wrestlers that I listed had a career a in most cases achieved at least some success prior to the WWE. But once again a fan would say "It doesn't matter who they were before WWE, because I didn't know who they were until they got on TV. Well fact is what if it was like used to be where if you lived on the East Coast then the only companies you could see where Mid-Atlantic Wrestling (JCP/WCW), WWF, and possibly AWA or WWA, and you would even no that wrestling existed in other places without the magazines. But things have changed and technology has improved...... hmmm technology has improved!! Hmmm......
Technology! YouTube has made the ability to find local wrestling companies so easy that all you have to do is type the name of the company in the search bar and see the results. Look the point of this post was not to drill home the idea of people having careers outside WWE. The point of this post was tell to you that there are other companies then those you see on your TV screen every week. Don't be that person who sticks your nose up at Indy wrestling fans and say that the talent on those shows don't matter, because then you'll be a hypocrite when those wrestlers end up on your TV screen. Give Indy Wrestling a chance, because who knows you may end up liking it a little more then major companies and also you would be supporting the little guy instead continuing to feed the egos of the bigger ones. I guess all I am saying is that "It's Your Wrestling World & You Control it" don't let somebody else control it for you.
