Due to the magnitude of this story I've decided to split it up between two separate posts. Right now I will speak to a point about the big rumors and huge story that shook the wrestling world to it's core earlier this week. As top NJPW Stars apparently gave their notice to the company following the Wrestle Kingdom 10 event that took place last weekend. Those stars include AJ Styles, current IWGP Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, and Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson. I feel it necessary to mention that the "King of Strong Style" will have his own article centered around him later this week, and now I will focus on the Bullet Club.
Though it is true that all four men have given their notice to New Japan it is untrue that they have signed contracts with WWE at the moment, but are in negotiation with the company. Rumors have been flying around for months regarding the possibility of AJ Styles joining WWE this year. Now it seems all the more likely that one of the biggest free agents in wrestling maybe destined for the WWE. If the small rumors of his arrival wasn't enough then adding more fuel to the fire is that he wouldn't go to NXT and would actually be signed for the Main Roster. After 12 years with TNA he joined NJPW back in January 2014 and became an international sensation and now it seems like he will be finding a home in the only company he's never been.
In terms of the other two Bullet Club members Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson they also gave their notice with NJPW at the same time as AJ & Shinsuke, but much like Shinsuke they still have some dates left to fulfill with both ROH & NJPW. Anderson & Gallows became one of the top teams in NJPW after coming together seemingly following Giant Bernard's WWE Return in 2012. That's right Albert aka Lord Tensai was Karl "Machine Gun" Anderson's partner in Japan before re-joining WWE and ultimately retiring. Now with the former leader of the Bullet Club and current NXT World Champion Finn Balor down in NXT the interest and intrigue surrounding the supposed eventual debut of Anderson & return of Gallows brings more to the table. Just imagine the Bullet Club down in NXT and even on Raw.
It is signings like these that may give the WWE the shot in the arm they so desperately need right now as it seems like nothing is going right for them at the moment. Especially with half the roster on the shelf with long term injuries and Wrestlemania hanging in the balance they needed a big splash and this is what they did. I must say in terms of signings this is by far one of if not the most intriguing "signings" WWE has done in a long time.
