I thought that instead of going very far back in time on the first edition of this series why not stay recent with a great moment that happened not long ago. This moment in particular was this managers last appearance in the WWE and the first time I believe that she got cheered. A few months ago we saw the end of an era in the WWE when Vickie Guerrero walked away from the WWE after 9 years with the company. Vickie had been on the road for almost her entire tenure with the WWE which really started in around mid 2006 and kept up until mid 2014. From the time she became a weekly character to the time she left Vickie was one of if not the most over person on the roster. Vickie left on top and in the best way possible and though some maybe happy she is gone there is no doubt that Vickie left a legacy in the WWE of a great manager.
Vickie debuted in 2005 as a part of the Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio feud over "the custody of Domenic." However, Vickie didn't become a regular character until around the middle of 2006 when Chavo would turn on Rey at Great American Bash. From the time she debuted to around a year before she left Vickie was solely responsible for brining life back to the idea of a manager being an important role in WWE again. In my book without Vickie I don't think we would have had Rosa, Zeb Coulter, or Lana featured on the programs like we do now. Vickie did her job so well that there were times when you couldn't hear what she was saying on the mic because the boos were so loud. However, to keep this some what short let me just say I never thought I would miss Vickie, but I can say that I do miss seeing Vickie because she was so good at her job and was very much an asset to the WWE. Also nothing tops her last appearance in the company, now please feel free to join me as I take a trip back in the wrestling time machine to the late summer- early fall of 2014 to when we saw Vickie Guerrero for what could be the last time:
Thanks For the Memories Vickie
Viva La Raza!!!
