Crockett Cup Bracket Official

4/22/2019

For the first time in over thirty years the National Wrestling Alliance will be revisiting one of there annual events. Back in 1988 the tournament saw a variety of legendary teams in the tournament including Anderson & Blanchard, Road Warriors, The Fantastics, and other giving the fans a chance to see why Jim Crockett Promotions was different then Vince. As with the older events the upcoming Crockett Cup will not just feature tournament matches as we will also see Willie Mack defend his National Title against Colt Cabana. Both the NWA World Women's Title & Worlds Heavyweight title will also be on the line with Jazz defending against Sienna & Nick Aldis defending against Marty Scurll respectively.

Even though the team set to fight Jax Dane & Crimson is still to be determined the tournament is shaping up to be very interesting. I can't be the only person that is a little take back by the sight of seeing the Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson are participating in the tournament. Not only that but the WWE Hall of Famers are going be competing in a dream match against The Briscoe Brothers.

Overall this shows just how much things have changed under Billy Corgan. Even though the NWA has had a working agreement with New Japan for the last few years the addition of CMLL and Ring of Honor this will be the first Cup to include teams from four different companies. It will also be the smallest tournament with only eight included this year as opposed to the sixteen teams that had been included in the past. Either way on Saturday April 27 in Concord, North Carolina the next chapter of this legendary tournament will be written. For more updated information on the festivities visit the link below:
