NWA Power: Episode 8

Now I have no problem with a recap show taking place to allow fans to catch up on recent goings on especially if the company did something that is worth revisiting. However, when it comes to spending an entire show on just video packages to set up an upcoming PPV instead of just using programming featuring wrestling. For the last few weeks I have been trying to predict the matches and it is official that the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship will be 2 out of 3 falls as Nick Aldis collides with James Storm. One note I have to make is the match on this show is in my opinion pointless and they would've been better off having an extra match from a previous taping air instead of a random match that felt like a waste of time.

This recap show also gave us matches to look forward to next week as Wild Card will defend the World Tag Titles against Rock N Roll Express which will be an incredible sight in itself as I've never seen a match including Rock N Roll that would be considered modern and never thought I would. Speaking of next week National Champion Colt Cabana will collide with top contender Ricky Starks in a non-title. Plus the next chapter in the saga including Nick Aldis and Kamille. Remember "Into the Fire" takes place live from GPB Studio on December 16 the event can be purchased on the Fite.TV for $24.95 or pre-order for $19.99.

NWA Power: Episode 7

As always when Tuesday rolls around I look forward to only one thing and that is the newest episode of NWA Power. As more details arrive about the newest television coming next year for the NWA called Circle Squared until then we will just focus on NWA Power. Seeing names like Ricky Starks and Trevor Murdoch being featured in such a prominent way is something that makes NWA Power stick out as unlike anything else you can find in wrestling.

One thing that did catch my attention on this weeks episode is that the card for "Into the Fire" seems to finally be coming together. After this week it is clear for me that Thunder Rose will be the challenger for Allysin Kay at the event. Also in an unexpected turn of events Rock N Roll Express challenge Wild Card for the Tag Team Titles. In the last few months it has become extremely clear that any doubter of Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson need to rethink there stance, because Rock N Roll can more then still go unlike most active competitors.

On the other end I still am unsure about who could be the next challenger for Nick Aldis and "Sweet Charlotte" at "Into the Fire." Even though it seems that Eli Drake and Mr. Anderson will be busy that night, but James Storm is still free for the show at least right now and is still my pick to take on Aldis. I will also point out that I never expected that Question Mark would've gotten anywhere close to getting over as quickly as he has, but there is no question that the fans have fallen in love with Question Mark.

NWA Power: Episode 6

I don't normally watch weekly wrestling, but I haven't missed an episode of NWA Power since the debut episode a few weeks ago. Right now they are building to "Into the Fire" on December 14 at GPB Studio. At this point no matches are set for the event just yet, but I am sure that most if not all of the matches will be announced before the month is out.

As for this episode of NWA Power we were given a lot of answers to questions that have been on everybody's mind the last few weeks. We found out that Colt Cabana will not be resting as his first challenge will be Ricky Starks who interrupted Colt's interview planting the seeds for something in the future. We also were given the pleasure of seeing Thunder Rosa and Marti Belle in action and the question was answered why Marti turned on Allysin Kay. The main event on this show likely saw the ending of the mini feud between Wild Card & Outlaw Inc.

The main takeaway from that continued from last week was Kamille appeared during the main event last week distracting James Storm and then appeared again following this weeks main event to the surprise of Nick Aldis. Pandemonium would engulf the end of Power with a lot more questions then answers, but after seeing this show it is clear that the top matches will be signed very soon for "Into the Fire" so now we got something to look forward to in the coming weeks.

NWA Power: Episode 5

Another week of NWA Power has hit the world and I'm still getting use to seeing a weekly program from the NWA. Unfortunately, this week we didn't get a commercial from Tony Falk about his waffles and tire iron business. After weeks of wondering it seems like we have an answer as they have seemingly have planted some seeds to the direction they are going with NWA World Champion Nick Aldis. The reason for this logic is with Kamille showing up during the National Title match points to something coming from that interference.

Since his arrival Ricky Starks has defined the odds picking up shocking wins against Trevor Murdoch and Aron Stevens. His issues with Stevens continued this week in a rematch the only question where to for these guys next? Pandemonium occupied the end of NWA Power with the tag team division getting the spotlight. Since the first episode we have been seeing vignette promoting the arrival of Thunder Rosa and her debut match didn't disappoint. By far Rosa is the only direct threat to Allyson Kay and now with a freshly heel Marti Belle the future seems bright for newest female competitor in the NWA. I never thought I'd be looking forward to a Tuesday every week, but I am and I watch the NWA more often then WWE which is something I never expected.

NWA Power: Episode 4

Interestingly enough I wrote about who could be challenging NWA World Champion Nick Aldis next and this show would start addressing that with James Storm, Eli Drake, Colt Cabana, and Mr. Anderson appearing together setting up the main event six man tag match. It is very difficult for a promotion to have a good six man tag that makes sense and has meaning. This six man had a lot of meaning, because if James & Wild Card won then Storm would get a title shot against Nick and if Nick's side won then Colt would earn a National Title shot against James Storm. It put a lot more emphasis on the match then a normal six man that is just focused on continuing a feud or two.

Other than that it is a lot of learning the new faces and getting use to a brand new roster of talent that I had no idea even existed before I turned on NWA Power about a month ago. Also who doesn't love Unlce Tony's Tire Iron's and Waffle's it's a hilarious commercial. Now that the calendar has turned to November we are a month away from "Into the Fire" let's see how this build goes. Never thought I'd be talking about the build up to an NWA PPV, wrestling is amazing.
