After months of build-up, hype, and a broken leg a Top NXT Prospect has finally made his debut on NXT TV. Solomon Crowe has finally arrived in NXT after months of being held back from TV. This adds another reason why NXT is totally different from the WWE Main Roster. As Solomon Crowe adds another gimmick to a long list of gimmicks or unique personalities down in NXT as Crowe's gimmick is that of a hacker.
I for one have been a fan of Solomon since his days on the Independents as Sami Callihan and I do have to say that his style is totally different then most anybody down in NXT or in WWE for that matter. I mean look no further then Solomon's rope assisted splash that he does to finish matches. He's a got a unique look, charisma, good skills in the ring and a great gimmick. Imagine this happening at WrestleMania:
I have been holding back this post for a little over a week now because I didn't want to spoil it for anyone who hadn't seen what happened on this weeks episode of NXT. Well this weeks episode of NXT saw a former WWE title holder make his return to the company wheather one appearance or not it is still a return. The crowd loved it and the announcers even seemed surprised to see Rhyno on NXT. Either way I am glad that WWE is still on good terms with Rhyno and willing to give him a chance to show he can still even if it was on NXT. When your work is good and believable people are willing to bring you in and that is the case with Rhyno as over the last year he has spent time in TNA, ROH, & now WWE. Below is his match from the show though it's short the reaction is fantastic.
Why Rhyno is Better off on NXT:
Look, all I have heard in the comments watching this video is "Why is did come to NXT and not show up on Raw?" Fact is, right now during WrestleMania season is the worst time to make a return unless you are doing it for WrestleMania. Plus I think he might be better off done in the NXT as he is less likely to get lost in the shuffle down there like he would up on the Main Roster. I think bringing back certain veterans to NXT and giving them a shot is an awesome idea. Think of this WWE starting veterans in NXT is like a baseball team giving a player an invite to Spring Training. The invite or the chance could lead to a new life in the player's career or nothing changes. It's the same principle with NXT, considering the reaction Rhyno got tonight, why not give him another shot and see if this could give his career some new life or even he could be this year’s Goldust and have an incredible run that nobody expected.
All in all I firmly believe that Rhyno showing up this week and The Brian Kendrick next week works 100 times better happening on NXT then they would if they happened on the Main Roster. Also, what Rhyno's match tells me is that he might be sticking around NXT for the time being, because why else would they make him win if he wasn't going to stick around. To know for sure we will have to wait and see what happens in the future, I for one am looking forward to it.
So not to spoil anything:
Though the site is only about two weeks old change is a good thing and the change here is that at first I didn't think having an NXT section would be a good idea, because nothing to write about. Well that has changed, now that I have gotten the inspiration to write about NXT, I will.
Now in this section of the site you will be able to explore the developmental territory of WWE from hopefully a unique point of view. The only reason why I believe that my view of NXT is unique is because by far my knowledge of the talent in NXT and NXT as a whole is probably where I am weakest as a writer. But I will try my best to come up with interesting posts about NXT and keep a unique view of the brand in the posts.
In closing, all I have to say is Welcome to the Future of The WWE.........
