For years people have stated the issues with the Main roster WWE product and never seem to find the answer or change their attitude and I don't blame them. One of those things that some fans have been stated as issues they have with the current WWE product is the lack of psychology on display during in ring matches. Basically what I am talking about has to do with the idea that during a match someone could be selling an injury much like Daniel Bryan was during his WrestleMania match last year, then once the match ends they stop selling the injury. This has also been the case in some matches where wrestlers either ignore or no sell consistent moves to a particular body part. Limb targeting during match means nothing if your opponent doesn't sell the hurt limb after consistent moves are done to it. The idea of targeting a particular body part during a match and using the "injury" to help you win is absolutely a lost art in the business and one that was very prominent back in the day.
However, it isn't totally lost as often enough, it can be seen in NXT from time to time where talent actually sell previous "injuries" during the match much like Finn Balor did on this episode of NXT in his match against Kevin Owens.
It was announced earlier today that at WrestleMania Axxess there will be a tournament involving NXT talent where the winner gets a spot in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
The Participants Include:
I firmly believe that the winner of the tournament will be given a good amount of time in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal to "show their stuff" and I also think they could be one of the talents to officially debut on Raw the following night. All four of these talents have been making waves in NXT for a very long time, but the two most highly rumored talent to be getting the call-up have been Finn Balor & Adrian Neville. So in my opinion those two guys have to be the favorites to the win tournament at Axxess. Now your probably wondering well which day of Axxess is this tournament it will be on Thursday March 26th.
For those who may not know WrestleMania Axxess will be held at the San Jose Convention Center from March 26th through March 29th. WrestleMania Week is Here Folks Let the Wild Ride Begin!!!
It should tell you something that even after a couple of weeks Samoa Joe is still in the news as it pertains to his future and where he could end up. Joe had been apart of TNA for almost 10 years and now Joe is a free man and can go anywhere he wants. Joe has already showed up at a Ring of Honor event that being the Anniversary 13 show in Vegas a few weeks ago and also has a couple of dates set aside for ROH. However, Joe apparently told ROH officials he plans on attending the next WWE tryout to give WWE officials a closer look. Which feeds into the rumor that Joe will be offered a contract by the WWE.
If in fact Joe is offered a contract then he will likely end up down at NXT and though rumors state Joe may never make it to the Main roster there is a reason why they are called rumors. But Samoa Joe going to the WWE would not only give fans hope that some dream matches may happened, it would also give the WWE a fresh face to use with new talent like never before. Another reason why people seem to be leaning toward the fact Joe will sign a deal with WWE is because Triple H is said to be a very big fan of Samoa Joe which is a really good thing for Joe.
Though at this point it is mostly just rumors I still do firmly believe that before the end of the summer Samoa Joe will have a contract with the WWE. I will not say that he will definitely be on the main roster by that point but I do think he will at least be in NXT.
Think about the possibilities of Joe vs Owens, Joe vs Itami, Joe vs Neville, Joe vs Balor, the possibilities are endless and those dream matches just factor in NXT they don't even mention the guys on the Main Roster. Like: Bryan, Orton, Rollins, Ambrose, Reigns, and others. Just think about how many possibilities there are for Joe coming to WWE.
Every year the night after WrestleMania has become the night that WWE debut's the new members of the roster that they usuaully have called up from developmental. In the past we have seen Brock Lesnar, Paige, Mankind, Umaga, Goldberg, The Great Khali, and I am sure many others. Point is the night after WrestleMania is usually the night for the new blood of the WWE to shine. With NXT getting worldwide exposure now through the WWE network most if not all of the talent down there are developing a fan base prior to their arrivals in WWE which in my opinion makes the change to the Main roster easier, because the fans already know who you are.
Who Might be Getting the Call?
Well as of right now I think that fact Kalisto is still in NXT is a crime because he and Sin Cara would add good depth to the WWE Tag Team division that is needed now with the disbandment of Dust Brothers, and Miz & Mizdow. So seeing Kalisto arrive on the Main roster "officially" the night after WrestleMania wouldn't be a surprise.
The other possibility seems less like a rumor and more like he's coming, that person is Finn Balor. Over the course of the last two big NXT specials in my opinion one person has stolen show just based on his entrances and that is Finn Balor. Finn is extremely talented in the ring and his entrance is like no other. Also it has been said Finn has his supporters among WWE management namely Triple H & Vince McMahon. Look I know the fact that if say I have been of fan of Finn's for a long time that doesn't mean anything if you compare me to someone who just became his fan and you'd be right, but fact is I can say that Finn hasn't changed a bit from his days on the Indies and now in WWE. WWE has allowed Finn Balor to be Finn Balor and though that freedom will likely not continue going to the Main roster you never know and I can honestly say that I am very happy Finn and am extremely excited for the future holds. Just imagine Finn Balor doing this entrance at WrestleMania in front 70-80,000 people. It would be Incredible!!!!
