Parker originally signed with the WWE back in 2011 to a developmental contract and he would debut on the July 7 edition of FCW TV. While the developmental territory was under the FCW banner Parker had some success in the Tag Team division as he was able to secure two Tag Team title wins with two different partners (Damien Sandow & Jason Jordan).
Once NXT began in July of 2012 CJ Parker eventually became the NXT jobber as he would lose to the likes of Roman Reigns, The Ascension, Rusev, The Miz, Cesaro, Great Khali and others. Although he did lose a lot during his tenure in NXT Parker did have sporadic rivalries with some other NXT talents like Tyler Brezze who he traded wins with back and forth for a few months. Also Parker feuded with Xavier Woods, but both feuds were largely unsuccessful and usually lead back to Parker doing jobs. In the last few months of Parker's NXT career, he became the "welcoming committee" per say because he was very often the one who lost to talent in their debut like Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin, & Solomon Crowe.
CJ is also known for being the guy who broke Kevin Owens nose during Owens debut match back at NXT Takeover: R Evolution. CJ Parker asked for his release from WWE after feeling like he has been in developmental for too long as Parker had been in WWE developmental since 2011, and felt if he was never going to get called up that he didn't want to become the guy who stayed in developmental for too long. I believe that Parker could have come up and became a Main Roster jobber because, I believe that jobber matches like we saw in the early 90's to late 80's is a lost art now and should make a comeback.
I would like to wish CJ Parker the Best of Luck in all of his Future Endeavors and I hope that in whatever company he ends up, he will be able to show how much talent he truly has.
