It was announced over last weekend that the expansion of NXT is continuing and growing to an incredible point that nobody thought they would reach. Putting aside the thoughts that NXT just sold out Barclay's Center which was a 15,000 seat building with a raucous crowd and was an amazing experience.
Both prior to the show and then during the broadcast that they just signed a deal to have NXT tour the United Kingdom in December of this year. Just hearing that is incredible for me, because when people ask what is NXT and I say it's the WWE training system and then you say they are touring the UK on their own which is amazing to think. Nobody thought that when this began about 2 years ago that this would reach the point it has, but it just shows what real wrestling, simple booking, and character development can do for a brand and a group of tremendous talents.
I do believe that the dates for the tour are December 6-10 and there is a rumor out that WWE will hold a TV taping while on tour, but at this time that isn't confirmed at all so take it with a grain of salt. Just think of the effect this could have on TNA! Every show in England usually has a great crowd and this will turn NXT into even more of a world wide fixture then it already has become and just picture what the brand will accomplish next year.
I for one am looking forward to the changes Triple H will make when he and Steph take over the WWE from Vince. Can the company handle drastic changes?
