On March 31, 2003 the night after Wrestlemania 19 we saw a highly anticipated debut of a former WCW World Champion. During The Rock's celebration on Raw his music began to play and Bill Goldberg would appear on the screen. Upon his arrival he would make an immediate impact by spearing Rocky setting up a match between the two of them at Backlash. This would be Rock's last match before disappearing into Hollywood until Wrestlemania 20. Things would go down from here for Goldberg during his WWE run even though his momentum would build until Summerslam when Elimination Chamber ended in a screwy way. It is possible that Goldberg never had any interest in resigning with the company after his one year deal expired. I would be interested to find out if Goldberg resigning would've changed the terrible match that Brock & Goldberg had at Wrestlemania 20. Fast forward twelve years later to 2016 when Goldberg would make his shocking return to company that nobody saw coming. With another unexpected return ahead at the upcoming Saudi Arabia event I thought it'd be interesting to remember were it all started.
