According to reports former WWE and TNA star Ken "Kennedy" Anderson will be adding Ring of Honor to his long list of wrestling companies. Anderson will be making an appearance this weekend at the April 28 event in Hopkins, Minnesota. Based on the card for the event it seems as though Anderson will be debuting against ROH Television Champion Marty Scrull. Anderson worked for the WWE between the years 2005 and 2009 before moving on to TNA where he worked for the company between 2010 and 2016.
It seems very possible that this will not be the only appearance for Anderson in the company as it seems like he may signed a contract with the company. Kenny will be the newest addition of the company after Bully Ray joined the company following the departure of the Hardy Boys. I have always been a big fan of Anderson and I was disappointed when I heard he left TNA. I am glad that he has been able to set things back on the right track and with a brand new company.

Since he left the WWE last year the man formerly known as Stardust has really busted out of his shell and is showing the tremendous potential that we all saw in the WWE. I have always thought that Cody had the "It Factor" and could have been World Champion in the WWE, but I guess they thought that Cody was missing something. Looking at how good Cody has been on this run since being granted his WWE release makes me wonder what he could possibly have been missing to not have become World Champion with the WWE.
Even though his current booking could show something totally different with his loss against Jay Lethal at Supercard of Honor still fresh on the fans mind. In my opinion this should mean that Jay is next in line for the title shot against Christopher Daniels. Now it's not that this isn't the case as I don't know who the official next challenger for Daniels is at this point, because all the report said was that at this point Cody will challenge Daniels at the next big event for the title. Overall this is one of the many reasons why Ring of Honor will always be one step ahead of their competition as they recognize talented competitors and try to build their company around them. My only question is if Cody wins the title what does this mean for Adam Cole as I believe Adam is still a member of the Bullet Club along with Cody. Does this mean we could see jealousy begin to develop within the most powerful faction in wrestling, this will absolutely be an interesting and intriguing story to watch to see what will happen. Though at this point it may not be as big news as it was when it first reached the waves of the IWC, but apparently former ROH Top Prospect Tournament Champion Lio Rush is leaving ROH. The last big splash the youngster made in the company was a part of the 6 man tag team championship tournament where his team made it to the finals losing to the eventual winners The Kingdom. Even at the ripe age of 22 years old this kid has been making waves in the wrestling world in companies from ROH to CZW to Evolve.
Speaking of Evolve, that seems to be where the youngster will be heading as he will be a part of Evolves WrestleMania weekend events. As of this writing I am not sure if he appeared on Evolve 80, but I am almost 100% sure that he was at least backstage at the event. In my opinion Lio is one of the many reasons that ROH will always be a step ahead of other companies, because they always seem to be able to find the youngsters like Lio from nowhere. Though the draw of a WWE contract will always be hanging over ROH talents head this company also still shows that loyalty exists even in a period of the bottom line being a number one. |
