Though it has been a long time since the last time I actually did a post for this series I have brought it back again for now at least. Evolution is a part of wrestling and in most cases a large part of the sport; much like Triple H would say "Either you evolve or perish." This in large part is the series as I look at the successes and the failures of gimmicks.
The picture of Austin holding the ROH World title was from his first run the company when he won the title from Samoa Joe at the December 2004 edition of Final Battle. This win officially ended the longest reign as World champion in ROH history which is still held by Samoa Joe. Soon after he would drop the World title to CM Punk, Aries would leave for TNA were we saw the early development of the man he would later become in the WWE and when he would return to ROH. From his days as Austin Starr in TNA he would evovle into the pink jacket wearing, greatest man that ever calling World Champion. In 2007, Aries would return to ROH and have the best run of his career which would actually lead to him becoming not just a household name for ROH, but also a big name on the Indies as well. Though the change for Aries wasn't as drastic as other wrestlers changes it was an important change for his future as he looked more like a World Champion on a larger scale.
