Before I get to the names of the talent who are coming over let's get this little bit of info from ROH out of the way first before we continue:
“Wrestling fans around the world have been buzzing since the announcement that New Japan Pro Wrestling talent will be appearing on four Ring of Honor shows in May of this year. The first two nights will be “War of The Worlds” and will take place Tuesday, May 12th and Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 at the legendary 2300 Arena deep in the heart of South Philadelphia Pa. The May 13th show is SOLD OUT but there are still tickets available forr the May 12th event right HERE.
The 3rd and 4th nights will be “Global Wars” on Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th at the historic Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto, Canada. Tickets are still available for both nights in Toronto but are going fast! To purchase tickets for May 15th, click here and for the 16th click here.”
I can honestly say that in the years I have been a fan of Independent Wrestling I never have seen a company put on a 4 day show, in the United States that is. But with all the talent ROH has coming in that is the only way they could fit it all within that weekend. Those stars include:
Also as of this writing another New Japan Wrestling talent has been confirmed to appear for all of the night of course. The newest confirmed talent is the "King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura!!! Nakamura has become one of the most successful stars in New Japans history; he is also the current IWGP Intercontinental Champion. There is also rumors of the Bullet Club being at these upcoming events, but who knows really until it happened.
This show I think will be the best combination of talent in the United States, because right now in wrestling few companies if any are hotter then New Japan. The one thing I don't understand is why not strike while the iron is hot and let's help other companies benefit from the success of the company while they can. Which usually entails making a partnership with the companies like NJPW and ROH or TNA and Wrestle-1. Following Wrestle Kingdom 9, Nakamura showed the world something Japan already knew and that is that Shinsuke Nakamura is the Best Wrestler is Wrestling Today, No Doubt about it. Last time the crop of talent that ROH got to appear was a solid mix of veterans and rookies, but now the talent crop they have coming over is fantastic and should do great business for ROH.
Probably the hardest thing to pick now would be who do you put certain people against and how often can you book them without losing the booking privilege. Last year ROH at least had someone to face Nakamura, Tanahashi, & Okada; the talent on this NJPW roster is incredible. If I could give some advice to you all that might be NJPW fan, that would be that right now NJPW is the best wrestling in the world today. Japan is taking off and the America better fix itself before they are overtaken.
