Starting in 2003 the company known as Grey Dog Software invented the game called Extreme Warfare Revenge a booking simulation wrestling game. This was one of the few games on the market that gave fans the chance to make the matches and decide the champions. Fast forward two years and the game would be reinvented with Total Extreme Wrestling 2005. Every couple of years we have been given two new games with Total Extreme Warfare 2013 and 2016 being added to the library. With every new game we have been given the opportunity to have more control and a little more depth was added every year.
The main difference between TEW 2016 and the upcoming 2020 is that game developer Adam Ryland is starting from scratch with the game. Next year TEW 2020 will be a brand new game and give a new experience to players of the game when it finally appears next Spring.
For those who may not be aware Total Extreme Wrestling is basically a computer wrestling game that allows you the player to operate your own wrestling company. Using player created databases wrestling are able to operate, book, and run a wrestling company from era or decade they want as long as it can be made. Ever wanted to see how booking WWE, NJPW, Impact Wrestling, WCW, ECW, or any promotion would be? At first there is a bit of a learning curve with the game, and at first I wasn't sure if I would like the game, but after getting past the learning curve I love the game and can't wait for TEW 2020 coming next year.
