As the clock continues to tick for TNA and their seemingly eventual departure from Destination America at some point next month, you can't help, but wonder what the future holds for this company. This is the second time in less than a year that TNA has gotten the boot from a TV station (first of course being Spike). Look I still think that with a relaunch TNA could have a chance to be saved, but they need to admit their mistakes and repackage the brand complete overhaul. Doing this would leave no trace of the past and give them a fresh start on the other hand it might be too late for that and might just be better try a different approach, whatever that is?
Currently no official announcement has been made by Destination America officials to disclose a date for TNA's last show so for the most part everyone is in the dark. In all honesty, if Destination America is planning on using the out clause they have in their contract with TNA next year then they need to let them know if they are being removed next month or not and when the last show is as a favor to the talent. Right now Destination America are being unprofessional and are in the wrong for not filling TNA management in on their future with the network. I hope things change fast!
This is somewhat of a tough situation because I don’t want to say that TNA will definitely go out of business and won’t make it till 2016. I am in No way saying that and that’s not what this post is about in any way, shape or form. This post is supposed to talk about the status of TNA’s TV contract, but there such a small amount of information known to the public that it makes it very hard to write about. I just hope the best for TNA and wish they would stop gaining attention for the wrong reasons.
Best of Luck TNA!! Things are about to get Interesting for them and not in a good way
As everyone knows things haven't gone well for TNA for the last few years. But now I think as long everything pans out for them they may have done something right. Right now word has it that this will just be a Live Event tour of India with no TV tapings, but in all likelihood it's possible that things are just being finalized and haven't been announced just yet. Earlier in the year there was suppose to be an overseas tour to the Pacific, but it never materialized due to finances not being available for the tour.
Look everyone over the last few months has ripped TNA a part for the poor way they handled their TV debacle and the fact that they are just so mismanaged it's not even funny anymore. It's just sad, TNA wrestling one time had so much potential not to compete with WWE, but to given fans an alternative company to Vince every week. Nobody wants to see them go out of business and nobody thinks it would be a good thing and if you do then you are not real wrestling fan, because it's never good for a company no which company to go out of business.
Hopefully this tour materializes and TNA (If they are still on Destination America) at the time becomes the first American company to run TV show from India. The idea of having Mahabili Sheera be look at as the conquering hero and a major star is a great sell point and a unique idea, because an American has never had a top star who was from India. That makes TNA unique, and different, and most of the ALTERNATIVE!!! But one has to think at this point can TNA still be saved is their potential still their?
Ratings, Attention, Importance, Public Eye; I bet your thinking what do all of these things have in common well. I will tell you all these things are qualities that a certain wrestling company either used to have and has “misplaced” or never had at all. Fact of the matter is the buzz behind a new signing can cause quite a stir for a company and could even cause the company to gain a large viewership for a few shows to check out the company. It is up to that company to keep those new viewers interested otherwise they will loss those viewers and be back to square one. In January 2010, TNA Wrestling had that chance as on January 4th, 2010 their newest signing would be make his highly anticipated debut……. Hulk Hogan.
Fact is that I firmly believe no matter what happens that Hulk Hogan will always be Hulk Hogan and he will always be able to draw a crowd. But it’s just really depends on where, because it’s not a matter of it’s a matter of when the crowd will come. Hulk Hogan proved that one mistake can cause quite a stir among our society these days and that mistake ended up costing Hulk his job. Even though they took the gamble once taking it again would be different, because these time they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Think about seeing Impact Wrestling on Wednesday and out of nowhere we just see Hulk Hogan trying to get across the rail or inside the arena just based off his name, but they won’t let him in. Finally an authority figure allows him to come in and on that show after weeks of trying Hulk is given a live microphone and it becomes his time to clear the air and shoot about whatever he wants. Though TNA could end up with bad publicity following a “stunt” like this, why would it matter as they are getting the boot from Destination America later this year anyway so what’s the different. All I am saying is them giving Hogan a live microphone and using him as an attraction rather than regular talent is what they should have done back in the day, but never did and they messed it up big time. Long story short they would have nothing to lose, and everything to gain by giving Hogan to platform to speak on their TV show or PPV.
Look you may not agree with my opinion on this situation that's fine as you don't have to agree with me or my opinion. I don't ask my readers to agree with everything I say as I am open to discussion as long it's a back and forth friendly discussion rather then a warring argument. Basically all I mean is Respect can go a long way with me and that is a two way path. As long you give me respect and understand my opinion I will not argue with you and would be worth then happy to debate you or just talk.
