As many of you know after TNA moved from Spike TV over to Destination America they lost a lot of exposure when it comes to the amount of houses they reach on a National scale. However, since debuting on Destination America have finally started to change there ways when it comes to booking and running the company overall, as it seems like they are just focused on making the best of what they have. If only they did that on Spike!
How is TNA making the best of what they have? Well since debuting on Destination America TNA has accumulated the highest ratings ever on Destination America. Even though most would say who cares look at the network they are it is still an accomplishment for the company either way. Fact is that though they reach a lower number of houses the ratings don't lie and since they debuted 4 million people have tuned into Impact Wrestling. I will admit that I never have been the brightest supporter of TNA, but at this point I have realized that if they have success it means more people are watching wrestling and that is a great thing for the health of the business.
This is a great thing for TNA because they are being different from WWE and are finally realizing that for them to succeed as a company they need to be different; they need to be the alternative to the WWE and nothing like them at all. In my book since the move to Destination America TNA have done wonders with building their own identity again. Having your own identity is something that is not only much needed in the wrestling industry, but is also a joy to happening in a company that has seemed lost the last couple of years.
Congrats TNA on Your Ratings success and I hope it isn't too little too late!!!
