At this point it is common place between fans that after six years Taz officially walked away from TNA last months. Since that point the company has been trying to find someone within the company to be used as his replacement, but haven't had much luck with the search it seems. To start I think that many fans may have thought that Mike Tenay would be re-joining the booth to replace Tazz, but has yet to do so and doesn't seem like he will be the long-term replacement. I don't think the company has anything against Mike as a commentator, but I do think that after so many years they just want to give the show a new sound which is understandable.
I will not be spoiling any upcoming guest announcers the company maybe having in the not to distant future, because that is not my job or why I am here. Fact is that many people know Al Snow had seemingly taken over the position, but as fans have seen this past week Snow doesn't seem like he is in the booth anymore for the company. After TNA's second TV Show was cancelled a few weeks ago it left Tenay's future with the company in doubt, but now it seems like he might be re-joining the booth on Impact at least for now. I just hope TNA makes the right picks for the announcers, because having the wrong guys in the booth could be a reason people stop watching the show.
So at this point it seems as though TNA is going the route of having temporary fixes for what could be a long-term problem. Finding the right guy to take over the color commentary could be a long process especially if your against looking outside the company for a replacement.
