It was in 2012 when Brodus Clay was brought onto to Raw from the NXT competition show. When Brodus Clay first appeared on screen he was a big bad ass, but once he debuted on Raw he became a freaking dancing dinosaur. For over a year he would remain as a dancing dinosaur with Cameron and Naomi then later team with Sweet T. Back in the day before Brodus debuted in 2012 their rumors of him opening up the "Hall of Pain" instead of Mark Henry.
It was late 2013 when things started to turn and made some people believe that Brodus Clay could be getting a second chance to be a serious gimmick and an actual push. However, things didn't last when it came to his push in many ways you could blame the talent he was against rather then him. In my opinion his push was never given a serious chance, because of the people not being cared about enough by the fans. Then him getting a demotion to follow in the foot steps of the likes of Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel. Clay would have a small opportunity to get a serious push, but once again didn't really get a fair chance. Looking back at the push and this point and time for the WWE I think that it was a little to little late for Brodus to get a serious push after being comedic gimmick for so long. Never given a fair shake on the main roster, and in my book his ticket was punched for him once he was demoted to developmental. Am very happy to see that he has achieved deserved success down in TNA as Tyrus.
