For the last two decades one match has been a dream match for almost all wrestling fans has been the "Franchise of WCW" Sting vs "The Deadman" Undertaker. Though we saw Sting fight at WrestleMania 31 against Triple H and it wasn't billed as WCW vs WWE but most who remembered billed it as that. However, this match was always the match billed as WCW vs WWE. Undertaker has been the man for the last 25 years in WWE and is still going strong. Sting was the "Franchise of WCW" and in some ways a very important figure for TNA as well during his nine year stint with the company. Not to long before his match at Night of Champions against Seth Rollins the news broke from an interview that Sting did that WrestleMania 31 was suppose to be his last match. Everyone knows at this point he would go on to wrestle twice more back in September. The current status of Sting for Mania this year is unknown following his injury at Night of Champions and now rumors popping up that he may need neck surgery. Right now things don't look good for Sting as it might be time for the Icon to hang up the boots for good. What would this post be without speaking of the WWE end of the story; I would be inept to not speak of the Undertaker. As I mentioned "The Deadman" has been the shadowy figure watching over WWE for the last 25 years and next year will be his get this 30th year in Wrestling. That's right Undertaker had a career outside of WWE if you don't believe me look up the name Mark Callous. I have said that Taker is on his retirement tour since the late part of the Summer when he returned to reignite his feud with Brock Lesnar as they headed toward Summerslam. The thought was almost confirmed when he returned for both Hell in a Cell and Survivor Series. Now looking back, but at the same time looking forward Undertaker's WrestleMania future is a little more clear but it isn't with who people may want. Much like a large number of other people I wanted to see Undertaker vs Sting happen at WrestleMania, and have thought of numerous ways the feud could go but never has it happened it real life. Much like a Steve Austin return I think the time is approaching for the fans to move past the idea of Sting vs Undertaker as I think that Dream Match maybe one of them that just remain a dream unfortunately.
