I am well aware of the fact that I chose to close this section of the site about two weeks ago, but I will say that if it wasn't for many questionable eliminations week to week then this section would still be gone. However, much like everyone else I have something to say regarding the most recent episode of Tough Enough.
Fact is that Patrick got eliminated on the show this week even though two of the weakest contestants and consistent bottom three finishers were right there with him. It seems like every other week ZZ had been in the bottom three of the competition and yet he is still here when can we say enough or how about Josh being back in the bottom three. Last time I checked if a future wrestler or an aspiring WWE superstar is cocky, and has somewhat of a character already with tons of potential that is a good thing. However, the WWE Universe doesn't agree otherwise Patrick wouldn't have gotten eliminated. A few weeks ago I made mention to the fact that I thought Patrick was weak and "one dimensional", but that doesn't mean I don't think that Patrick wasn't the best guy in the competition I just thought he needed to show more before being sold the farm.
This and other eliminations have lead me to believe that the fans shouldn't have the final say on who goes home on the show like they do (or did) in a lot of if not all of the singing shows. Tough Enough has to be looking for the most entertaining person in the ring and not just the person who is liked by the most people with no bearing on their actual talent. If the WWE isn't looking to use Tough Enough to their advantage then they are wasting their time by doing this competition. See though I am one of the many members of the WWE universe that has enjoyed voting, I wouldn't not being able to vote if it meant to improve the show.
Tough Enough would be so much better they wouldn't have allowed the WWE universe to cast their votes and have the final say on who lasts in the competition. The old saying is that "If isn't broke don't fix it." In my book certain parts of the Tough Enough show needed to be changed, but other specifics about the show didn't need to be changed, but was changed. I believe that too much has been done wrong this season to save this season from known as one of the worst season of the shows history which is unfortunate, because done right this could have been a turning point for the shows legacy among the WWE fans. The winner of the competition will be a long term project as none of these contestants are ready to be given the farm right out of the gate. However, time isn't really on the WWE's side because their roster is the weakest it's been in years and adding some more depth wouldn't be a bad thing. Look forward to next week to see the next awkward twist for this lackluster season of the formerly good reality TV show through the WWE.
