Change, is something that happens to us all and either we can accept the change, or be left behind. At least that's what I thought, until the WWE started changing first it was the Tag Team division, then it was the Divas Division, and now the titles are being allowed to get more meaning. Everything is changing in the WWE, let's rewind a second I said the Divas division is changing. It's changing for the better and this change in my opinion all started with AJ Lee during her first title reign.
During her first reign as Divas champion, AJ was able to drop a pipe bomb against the other Divas, engage in the first legit feud for a diva in a long time, actually given the opportunity to have competitive matches. In a way AJ became the person who broke down the barrier and showed that Divas can posse talent like the men and they deserve a chance to show their stuff. Now I know some fans might be happy to see AJ leave, but you have to be thankful she reached the heights she did because she helped the Divas division become credible once again.
I can imagine how tough the Punk/WWE litigation was on AJ and then add the WWE Doctor suing Punk which once again led to WWE/Punk litigation. Anyway you try to look at AJ was really the first Diva at a long time to be given time to establish a character and get over with the fans. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate AJ Lee on weedy out a Hall of Fame worthy career in the span of only 5 years time. Sadly the thought of her going into the Hall of Fame doesn't seem to likely do to her she is married and how her tenure with the company ended. Now, as we look to the future does this mean that an NXT diva maybe coming up to the Main Roster to take AJ's spot on the roster.
Thank You AJ Lee, Congratulations on a Great Career You Will Be Missed
Best of Luck in whatever you do next!!
