Following last week's episode of Monday Raw #GiveDivasAChance wasn't the only big news coming out of the event; because as we found out the following day something happened backstage involving Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon. For a while even the dirt-sheets didn't know what happened backstage and a lot of rumors sparked up including Roman Reigns failing drug to just Brock being pissed about making the trip to find out he was removed from the show after being advertised.
What Really Happened?
In reality, I firmly believe that nobody knows for sure what happened last Monday Night outside of Brock & Vince or maybe anyone else who may have been in the meeting. Ok let me try explaining what happened and why it took me week to comment on it. First the reason why it's taken me a week to comment is because I was trying to wait for more information to come out about the story and so that wasn't posting rumors.
Now what happened was Brock had a meeting with Vince for undisclosed reason and many who were at the event said that the meeting quite heated so much so that Brock walked out of the arena prior to the start of the show. The following day at the Smackdown tapings Vince held a meeting about the meeting/altercation with Lesnar the night before informing the locker room. This is also when creative members asked Vince if they come up with an alternative match for Mania in case, Brock doesn't show up, but Vince said that Brock will show up and if he doesn't Vince will sue him for breach of contract.
Even after a week most details about the meeting remain unclear for those who aren't a part of the WWE or indirect connect with Brock Lesnar. Right now details point to the possibility that the reason for the altercation having to do with a contract dispute between Brock & Vince. Now there are a lot of possibilities for the dispute including: Brock not liking the new terms WWE added to contracts following the issues with Del Rio & Punk, Brock wants to work for UFC and WWE at the same time, or Brock not being able to get new sponsors for his tights. It is also possible that it is a combination all three of these things in my opinion, we may never know for sure unless someone who knows what happened tells the story.
I will not comment on what I think happened last week, because I honestly don't know what happened. But if I had to guess it seems likely that Brock wanted to work both WWE & UFC as the reason for the dispute, and that is just opinion not a confirmed statement. I did want to mention one thing and express my opinion on the idea that Brock may not show up at WrestleMania or any of his appearances prior to the event.
At first I thought that Brock may just take the breech of contract and walk away from WWE never to look back again on the company. But then I thought about it and figured that even if Brock was ok with going to court with WWE and may have had a chance to win the case that would be bad for both parties. After my opinion changed now I think that Brock will last out his contract and he may not be back following WrestleMania like the rumors thought he could be.
