On Raw this past Monday, the WWE should how much faith they have in the divas to be able to keep the interest of the fans for an extended period of time. As on the most recent episode of Raw we saw The Bella Twins face Paige and Emma, now down in developmental this probably would have been one of The Bella's best matches but on the main roster not so much. They gave a resounding 2 minutes of TV time, including 30 seconds for the match. I mean are you kidding only 30 seconds for the match Really!!! As of 2:21am on Tuesday #GiveDivasAChance is still trending worldwide, which is very telling. Also another stat to go along with is that 65.5 thousand tweets have been made using that hashtag. Since Monday Night's glorified travesty of a divas match many divas and fans alike have spoken about being dissatisfied and even some very annoyed by the lack of faith for the divas.
The Tweets and the Truth:
In my opinion the most telling tweet is not the one from AJ though possibly telling of the AJ's future in WWE. The most interesting tweet in my book is the top tweet from Vince McMahon. Not just because it has over 4,000 RT's and Favorites it's because he says "We Hear You. Keep watching." Does that mean Vince for the first time actually is willing to give the divas a chance? I honestly don't think so because after seeing the proof that management doesn't have faith in the divas to keep fans entertained, I think Vince would have changed drastically for things to change for the Divas.
I have one question because I have seen the amazing matches the divas down in developmental put on when they are given time. If the divas division doesn't change on the Main Roster to a little more serious and if management doesn't put more faith in the division why would the developmental divas want to come up. I mean just look at Paige, Emma, and Summer Rae, who were all having great matches in developmental and two of the three of them are now Main Roster jobbers.
Let me take a second a straighten something out and that's I am not trying to say that the Main Roster should have 10 min divas matches every week because doing that cold turkey wouldn't work. Actually giving the women something meaningful to do and giving them to show their skills and tell a story in the ring here and "Isn't a Bad Thing, It's A Good Thing." Seeing as how the WWE shows will likely be going back to being lackluster following WrestleMania giving the divas a shot on the Main Roster wouldn't be that bad. But for right now I will take a I'll believe it when I see it approach as I don't think anything will change.
Truth is I do support this idea of giving the Divas a shot to show what they can do. I mean people on the Main Roster should want to go to NXT because it seems like you can more opportunities down there then on the Main Roster. In my opinion, I love NXT, but the developmental territory shouldn't be better then the Main Roster. But it is and I am saying is if you can do it in NXT why can't you do it on Raw and Smackdown. Maybe not right away, but what's stopping you from trying to #GiveDivasAChance.
