Over the last few years Tag Team wrestling has really became a lot more meaningful then it used to be in the WWE and one of the major reasons why this renaissance of Tag wrestling happened was because of the Uso Brothers. Jimmy & Jey Uso are in may ways the face of the WWE Tag Team division and with out them it would be hard to say that the division would be as successful as it is or has been in recent time.
But after injuring his previously injured shoulder at WrestleMania it seems like Jey Uso is going to miss sometime after having to get surgery on the injury. Right now the timetable for his return is around 6 months which is not only unfortunate for the Uso's, but it leaves a big whole in the Tag Team division. The Uso's popularity has rose a tremendous amount over the last few years and though this injury does hurt any momentum they might have had, it will help give them sometime off and will allow for a fresh start whenever Jey does comeback. Below is an excerpt from an article written by Tyler Conway of the Bleacher Report on the same topic:
"It'll be interesting to see how WWE Creative plans to handle Jey's absence. The duo, members of the legendary Anoaʻi family legacy, have been paired since their arrival in developmental. They are two-time tag team champions but haven't done much in singles action, which could set up Jimmy for a push between now and Jey's return."
It will be very interesting to see how they use Jimmy while Jey is on the shelf. I don't see them getting him wrapped up in a feud or anything, because he is still in a team. Also if they are just planning on making him job they would be better keep him home while his brother his recovering thus not to hurt the Uso brand.
