Instead of taking the same route I normally do I have chosen to take this recap in a different way and talking about just one aspect of the show. The aspect of the show that I want to focus on is the main event which was to crown a new WWE World Champion. The rumors had been buzzing for months that Sheamus is set for a big push in 2016. Think about this the WWE's heel roster is the weaker right now then it has been in years. So right I will look at some prospective opponents and feud ideas for a Sheamus title run:
Roman Reigns: For obvious reasons I picked Roman first there is no doubt in my mind that Roman will be the first challenger for Sheamus, but I don't know how smart that is especially if you plan on giving Sheamus a decent run with the gold. Roman will one day get his moment in the sun, well we thought that was tonight but Sheamus and Triple H seemingly robbed him of that. Vengeance will be on the mind of Reigns and not just for Sheamus to get his belt back, but with Hunter as well.
King Barrett: Over the last few months Barrett and Sheamus had seemingly formed a pretty good team and had been holding their own in the tag team division. Now with Sheamus holding the World Title it would be a perfect opportunity to give Barrett his chance to reclaim his destiny against his former friend. Though a feud between these doesn't seem likely it does seem logical, but then again we are talking about the WWE remember.
Daniel Bryan: For almost a full year rumors of Bryan vs Sheamus have been clouding the dirt-sheets and nothing has ever come together for one reason or another. Now would be the perfect time for this feud to once again take hold and would once again give Bryan a feel good moment/Cinderella story.
Three possibilities for possible Sheamus feuds with him as World Champion. I know not many people like Sheamus, but the WWE needs a heel right now and Sheamus is the guy then again they really don't have many other heels to chose from. Though many think they know where WWE is going have a sneaking feeling that things aren't going to go like we think they will, but we'll have to wait and see.
