A couple of weeks back I did a post talking about the recent ratings lull that WWE programs have been in over the last few months. I will add that it just seems as though the ratings either remain stagnant, go down or go up just a small amount which doesn't really help anything. So now I took to twitter to find out what some fans opinion is of both Raw and Smackdown:
What is the first word that pop into your head when I say Raw & Smackdown
ATPW (@ATPWrestling): Well, Raw is the flagship where supposedly the big moments happen. Not always the case. "Entertainment" show, that is supposed to appeal to a wider audience. Smackdown is mishandled in 2015, as events rarely occurs and the wrestling is also mishandled. Used to be incredible in 2002/03 and 2009.
Jay Alleto (Owner of PWP Nation & CoolwrestlingNews.com): Red & Blue :)
Dave (Executive producer of Ring-Rap.com): Raw and Smackdown need help. With the ratings tumbling, it's time to do something different, time to shake things up, and time to take risks. The comfortable formula Vince McMahon has settled on doesn't work any longer. It's time for a change
PWVoice (@PWVoice1): For me when I hear words such as Raw and Smackdown the words that pop into my head are: wrestling, WWE, love, passion, childhood, Rock, Hunter, McMahon, Guerrero, WCW, Cena, etc
YourWrestlingWorld (@UWrestlingWorld) Raw I would say promos, talking less action. Smackdown would be wrestling, more in ring action less backstage.
Yes I know that this post may have been short and not as inclusive as some of my other posts that I have done, but that was the point of this post. So who do you agree with? What is your opinion on the WWE Product? The door is wide open for you now. Now do you get it?
