What is Really Best for Business?

Over the last number of years may people have said that certain members of the WWE management staff don't belong in the company. I have been that no matter how many times Vince calls his company "Sports Entertainment" it will always be a wrestling company, because the company is called World Wrestling Entertainment. It's like a certain legend once said to Vince directly....... you know this isn't about Vince this is about who he has working for him and the control and say certain people have over the product. I am going to make a bold statement:

If you know Nothing about the Wrestling Business then you shouldn't be working in it.

I don't care what anyone says, because I made the statement and mean every word. A Wrestling show can't be written like a soap opera and you can't just have people from Hollywood doing all the writing you need a balance between the two to keep each other under control. Fact is the WWE was best when they had either all wrestling knowledgeable people like in the Attitude Era or a Balance like they had in the Era following. The balance was having people like Freddie Prince Jr. on the team with people like Bruce Pritchard. The team nowadays is too narrow focused and too fixated on having people who know how to write weekly shows rather than real fans who give a damn about wrestling. The idea of having people who don't know what they are doing run the show was proven not work many times and yet it is still very prevalent in WWE. I will say that I want to say certain words, but I am keeping my vocabulary very clean and PG sort of like the current product.

Appealing to the casual fans means nothing to mean and I would probably do the same thing, because once you have wrestling fans hooked it will take a lot for them not to come back next week. The real thing that bothers me is that people in TV production have the ear of the owner, and not just that but the lead TV production member is ashamed to be in the wrestling business yet he has been a part of the industry for 25-30 years. I will mention nobody by name to stop from getting sued, but truth is those people in TV Production should only have say in where the camera is pointed and at who it is pointed at. They should be allowed anywhere near creative meetings and should be fired for trying to have any say over the creative process or who gets TV time and who doesn't. I mean letting your lead TV production manager have a say over the creative direction of your company is like letting a lifetime member of the PR field have full control over a wrestling company...... Oh wait that actually happened.

I have the utmost respect for Vince McMahon and what he has done over the years at the helm of the WWE, and I also respect what he has done for the wrestling business. But I also hate what he has done to the wrestling business and the amount of respect he has caused it to lose over the years. Maybe the next group to take the lead will have a little more sense and wont let TV production presidents have a say on Creative direction.
