For this look back in the history books of the biggest event in WWE's calendar year we go back to a time that many WWE fans call the beginning of the Attitude Era. This WrestleMania moment is from WrestleMania 13 from 1997. Now in my opinion WrestleMania 13 overall wasn't that good, but it is remember for really one match and that match was Bret Hart vs Steve Austin (Submission Match.)
In wrestling it is rare to see a double turn in a match as how ever the wrestlers usually enter a the match that is how they usually leave the match. For those who don't know what a double turn is let me take a second and explain; it's pretty simple in this match for example we saw Steve Austin as a heel or bad guy and Bret Hart entered as a face or good guy. But here is where the double turn comes in because as the match progressed the crowd turned to cheering Austin & booing Bret. This effectively turned Bret into the Canadian Nationalist and Austin's move to being the company's Rebel had started.
There is also another thing rare to find in the wrestling business and that is a guy who can carry your company. This is especially rare when it turns out to be someone who a previous employer wrote off as nothing special and that the WWF was writing off until I do believe Bret asked to work with Steve. When Steve Austin arrived in the WWF in late 1995 nobody thought that Steve would become even half of who he became, and that is the amazing part. In a way this match at WrestleMania 13 went a long way in cementing Steve Austin's future as the "Face of The WWE" and the "Face of a Generation"
