Probably the most shocking news of the last few months was when the news about Seth Rollins and the injury that shook the WWE right to it's core. Seth Rollins had been the WWE World Champion since WrestleMania 31 back in April and was closing in on a very lengthy and uneventful run with the title. Lackluster booking curtailed his run with the title and the ratings, but that's not what this is about.
Seth was overused, overexposed, and not given a fair shot to be used fairly as a champion. Though I may have an old school perspective when it comes to booking the world champion the idea of overusing the World Champion is farfetched. This talent is suppose to be the major star of the company and yet you have him go out and do the same promo every week not the best way to keep a talent from getting stale.
At this point the WWE's roster has been destroyed to the point of zero depth and absolutely no heels on the Main Event level. Though more depth on the good side might help that is not what is needed right now. The Rollins injury came at a horrible time for the company as they are desperately in need of some new stars and when Rollins dropped the title they could have set him up in a new feud with other talents to maybe elevate someone else. Like Cena did dropping the title to Del Rio as he gave Del Rio a ton of momentum losing clean to him in his first match back with the company.
Though most injuries come at a terrible time this is injury hasn't just done that, but has also proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that WWE's roster is in ruins right now, and they need to do something to fix things or the problems will persist for the company. I would like to wish Seth a speedy recovery and though the WWE needs him back he also needs to take the right amount of time to recover and not rush back.
