The list is growing ever so long with talent walking away from the Impact Wrestling and now we can add another name to that list as former Tag Team Champion Crazy Steve is leaving the company. As of this writing it seems as though Steve may have opted out of his deal with Impact Wrestling and unlike his former co-workers it wasn't the companies doing as much as it was Steve's. Actually Impact had an option to renew Steve's contract but decided not to when he asked for his release.
At this time it seems more likely that Steve will be taking a short stint on the indies before even coming close to debuting in WWE due to an agreement they reached with ROH. This means that for at least 90 days he will be a free agent and then once that times passes he will likely join the WWE. In my opinion, with the fact that it seemed as though they were already scrapping the Decay faction with the return of Joseph Park it may have been a good thing that Steve left. Also Steve seems to be one of the few amicable departures in the companies long list of departures since the change in power. I do think that under a new guise and with a new character Steve will do well in the WWE and I just hope that Impact Wrestling looks to a lesser known talent to replace Steve rather than a former WWE star. The best way to replace someone is by making someone new and not by reestablishing a former star.
