Eli Drake Stands Up for The Boys

4/8/2017

Recently, a lot of things have been changing in Impact Wrestling over recent weeks. With all these changes it was bound to happen and that there would be at least some kind of a misunderstanding and this was the case as some talent believed that Jeff Jarrett and his people were taking shots at talent as well as former management. This lead top talent Eli Drake stepping up and having a meeting with Jarrett at the last set of tapings to discuss the issues.

According to the report Eli was one of the many members of the roster that were worried that the segments on the re-launch show directed at the roster for the company just as much as it was directed at the previous regime. At the tapings Eli stepped up and voiced the discontent from him and the a few other names on the roster, as of this writing it was said that the interaction between Jeff & Eli went well without either person involved getting mad or any real altercation taking place.

The reason for the confusion is because there were talents who felt the shots at the previous regime were unfair, because they didn't see them as a shot at management, but as everyone who had been working there. Many of the talents felt there was nothing wrong with their work, but that the message the segments sent ruffled some feathers. I honestly have a new found respect for Drake as he took it upon himself to stand up and voice his dissatisfaction about issues that trouble the talent roster. It is very pleasant to see a "known name" stand up, and I credit TNA/Jeff Jarrett for listening to the talent and allowing them to voice their dissatisfaction this would never happen in the WWE.
