PPV Predictions: NO Mercy9/24/2017 No Mercy 2017
Pre-Show: Apollo Crews vs Elias WWE Cruiserweight Champion match: (c) Neville vs Enzo Amore The cruiserweight division has been poorly booked since the start other than really Neville and his booking. Neville has been the only bright spot of the division and though Enzo has arrived he has been "buried" since around June. This has lead to Enzo look very weak and I think that there is no way Neville should loose this match so this one is no doubter in my opinion. Finn Balor vs Bray Wyatt Even though the build for this one is 100x's better then the one at Summerslam I still have written off this feud as a poor excuse of what could've been a great feud. With that being said I hope it ends tonight with Bray getting the win but I think we all that's not how it will happen and Finn will get the win tonight. WWE Intercontinental Title Match: (c) The Miz vs Jason Jordan Last week this is in my opinion the first time Jason had gotten a good reaction since the begining of the storyline with Angle. I do think that Jason is a very talent performer, but for him to beat The Miz it is far too soon for him to be winning the title. Also there is no doubt that this period of time has been the best run of Miz's career and shouldn't drop the title just yet. With that being said Miz will win this match. WWE Tag Team Title Match: (c) Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose vs The Bar These two teams tore the house down at Summerslam and had one of the best finishes in a while for a tag match. But things have been booked pretty poorly in the build to the event and with that being said I think this should see the end of the feud. Rollins and Ambrose will keep the Tag Team titles and maintain The Shield reunion at least for now. WWE Women's Championship Match: (c) Alex Bliss vs Sasha Banks vs Bayley vs Nia Jax vs Emma The build for this match has been nothing more than a cluster-fuck and it was pretty clear that the WWE has no idea what to do with a lot of these women and that's why they were placed in this match. I do think that this match will be the end of Alexa's run with the title will end tonight but not sure who will get the belt. If I had to pick I think it's time for Nia to get her run with the belt. John Cena vs Roman Reigns Fact is there is nobody that doesn't think this match shouldn't be happening at Wrestlemania instead of tonight, but either way Cena will be facing Roman tonight. These two have been one of the many dream matches that people have been wanting to see Cena became a "free agent" once his return. The build for this match has been the best and worst of Roman Reigns as for once this feud has allowed Roman to show some weakness and not be unstoppable. Roman may have been booked as a star but this build made it clear that he doesn't hold a candle to Cena on the microphone. I have been going back and forth with this match and I think I am going to go with Cena getting the win. WWE Universal Title Match: (c) Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman vs Braun Strowman This match has been built up superbly and is just another indication as to how well Braun has been booked since the Brand Split last year and why it was such a great decision to split him from the Wyatt's. However, this feud has been built to look like the Joe vs Brock build from Great Balls of Fire and with that being the case I think I am going to go with Brock holding on the title tonight against Braun.

Now the WWE Hall of Fame has always been quite a conversation starter and something that sparks debate. Numerous fan always claim that the Hall of Fame will not be a real Hall of Fame without insert any name here. Over the years we have seen a number of extremely deserving names finally take their rightful place inside the hallowed halls of the Hall of Fame. One other thing that is normally talked about is who would or should be the headliner for the year.
For once the rumors have already begun as to who could be headlining next years class and that is Dave Batista. Though we haven't seen Dave inside a WWE ring since 2014 when he walked away from the company following a feud between Evolution and The Shield. Most people remember Dave's last night with the company because it was the same night that The Shield broke up and Seth Rollins turned heel. Once Dave left the WWE the last time his acting career actually began to take off and is slowly becoming one of the top up and comers in Hollywood with his part in the Guardians of the Galaxy series. For those who may not be aware Dave began in the WWE with John Cena & Orton in 2002 as a deacon. By 2006, Dave would be one of the top names in the WWE and basically Smackdown's answer to John Cena. Even though he may not be on The Rock's level he would follow his lead in 2010 when he walked away from the WWE and would end up in Hollywood. With his developing name in the big city it would give the WWE a big name to build the 2018 class around. Now things can change between now and the ceremony but I do think it's pretty possible that Dave Batista will be the headliner for the WWE 2018 Hall of Fame class. |
