Still Employed Part 33/9/2021 Anyone who knows me is aware of the fact that I am still a major supporter of wrestling of yesteryear and not always a fan of how wrestling is handled nowadays. It is for this reason that I am still a supporter of a working agreement being helpful for a company to allow talent to take a break from programming. In a way that is what NXT is suppose to be, but at the same time it can't be that WWE only sends talent to them as it would stop the actual roster down there from being featured. Keeping that in mind it doesn't mean that someone can't be sent down from the main roster to NXT to be given a break from Raw or Smackdown for a few months.
All Elite Wrestling is seeing some benefits of a working agreement with Impact Wrestling and having the chance to bring Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows to Dynamite as well as sending talent to them. The benefit is giving talent more exposure, but also a break from your programming for a little while. I'm not sure why Vince would have an issues with having a working agreement with another company to help each other, but it seems like Vince has never been a supporter of this way of thinking. This is the reason that NXT would be the only way for them to give talent a break from programming other then just sending them home for a while. Cycling talent in and out of spots to keep programming fresh has always been go to for wrestling bookers, but again it seems to have fallen to the sands of time. Even though keeping the main event level fresh prevents your product from getting stale. I'm not saying that every wrestler on the roster could be in the main event or that every wrestler should have a spot above enhancement talent. All I'm saying is if creative has nothing for you is still a thing then the wrestler would be better off going elsewhere or coming up with an idea for creative. Getting released isn't the worst thing that can happen to a wrestler, because think about it what's worse getting released and having a shot to catch on elsewhere or being kept under contract and not featured on programming. Roster cuts can still be made to allow the roster to be a bit more snug, because if they aren't going to allow for the depth to be use to there benefit why have it as a tool to use then.
