Starting off with the inevitable match to crown the Women's Championship with Nyla Rose now getting her piece in before her title match with RIHO. I have spoken about this match often since this series kicked off and even though it is a big part of the first show it will not be the focus anymore, I have nothing more to say about it other than it being a classic underdog story between two talented wrestlers. 

Where I wanted to focus is Brandon Cutler who much like Sammy Guevara is getting his first taste in front of a national audience on October 2nd. Also Cutler is someone we haven't seen since Double or Nothing in the pre-show battle royal so we don't know what to expect from him. There is no doubting MJF is one of the best heels in wrestling right now, but if anyone is going to underestimate someone it will be MJF underestimating Brandon Cutler. Seeing Brandon get this opportunity gives me another reason to be happy that we have two major wrestling companies around right now. In my opinion, everyone deserves a chance to make it on the big scale, but not everyone always gets the chance to make that impact. On October 2nd a new era begins and the stars of AEW will get their chance to make an impact on TNT and it will be Dynamite. 

It is still crazy to see Tony Schiavone in every episode knowing how long it's been since Tony has been an active member of pro-wrestling it's going to take some getting use to. Think about this right now Tony Schiavone, Eric Bischoff, Paul Heyman, and Jim Ross all have a prominent position in the two major american companies like it's 1999 all over again. It was interesting to hear from Riho and see the type of adjustments this young lady has had to go through since making the move from Japan to America. Her upcoming match with Nyla will be a classic underdog story and whoever gets the victory will earn the ability to call themselves the first ever AEW Women's Champion. 

Overall there is little doubt at this point that anyone is a better heel then MJF and he shows it every single time he's on camera. As far as the tag team tournament this will be AEW's chance to stick out and show exactly why they will be different then their competition, because everyone knows WWE doesn't care about tag team wrestling. I also think that LAX was left out of the tournament intentionally as they will likely be the first challengers for the team that wins the tournament. The next "Road to" series is coming to an end very soon as we have around a week and a half before wrestling changes forever. 

The last time wrestling was on TNT was on Monday March 26th, 2001, and as Tony Schiavone historically exclaimed while the pyro exploded "This is a landmark night in the industry." Again I love the control center because it now allows fans who may missed All Out to get a recap of the event and it also allows fans to get accustomed to hearing certain members of the announce team ahead of weekly television in October. As someone who watched the final episode of Nitro on TNT back in 2001 it is surreal to know that in less than a month wrestling will return to TNT which is something I never thought would ever happen. 

I've spoken about my opinion of All Out already, but I will also mention that seeing LAX debut in AEW was a pleasant sight I just wish they either would've not removed their masks or just not worn masks, because the idea of running out covered just to take off the masks seems a little pointless to me. Looking ahead to the second official match announced for AEW's debut on TNT, Sammy Guevara is one name that hasn't been spoken about a lot since the start of All Elite Wrestling. This upcoming match between Cody and Sammy is similar to his match against Darby Allen as this is the biggest chance for Sammy to prove himself and show something on the big stage. Sammy has a ton of potential to become a future star for AEW. 

The last thing I wanted to mention was about the upcoming Women's Championship match between Riho and Nyla Rose. I know that a lot has been said about this match, but I am looking forward to it both women have shown enough since the start of AEW that I know this will be a very interesting match. I just wonder if they will be giving us the expected "David vs Goliath" type of story.

At first I thought that Cody vs Shawn Spears had disappointed but it was very under the radar for a match that I thought it was a big deal. Especially since I thought that this match was going to be the start of a bigger over arching story, but with Spears taking the fall in the clean as a whistle. Now it is the point that Cody will move to challenge the World Champion Chris Jericho as we move forward to AEW on TNT. The interesting point now is to wonder where Shawn Spears goes from here at this point heading for the future. Speaking of the World Championship, I was impressed by the performance of Adam Page who is ready to break through but it wasn't the right time for him to get the big victory. 

The one criticism I have for the show is that they need to settle out the rules of the Casino Battle Royal or stop doing it. It clunky and the two that the company have done so far haven't done the best overall. In my opinion, it isn't even about the match it's more along the lines that it is extremely difficult to introduce unknown talent in a battle royal, because you aren't able to focus on the new faces like you can in a singles match. This is especially evident in the women's battle royal, because how many of the names that were in the match are going to stay with the company. It's for that reason that I think they could've accomplished the same thing by having two fatal four ways with talent that are sticking around to allow some names to have the spotlight and allow the fans to invest in new talent. 

Since the very first show in May the talk has been about who will be the first World Champion for All Elite Wrestling. For the last few years Adam Page has been one of the quickest rising stars in wrestling and has been perfecting his Hangman character and slowly moving from prospect to borderline main event talent. Page does have what it takes to lead a promotion as it's franchise, but he isn't there just yet and AEW needs a proven talent to be on top as they continue to lay the foundation for the company. 

Enter Chris Jericho! At this point I'm not sure how to describe Chris Jericho other than by saying he has truly done it all in the wild world of wrestling. It is hard to believe that next October will enter an exclusive club as someone who has been active in ring for thirty years. Jericho debuted on October 2nd, 1990 and has found his footing in every promotion he has ever been a part of even if it took a little longer in some places. The first time remember seeing Jericho was a member of WCW, but I didn't really become a fan until a few years into his run with WWE. 

Overall everyone has used endless adjective to describe the career of Jericho and I think the best way to describe him at this point is the "ageless wonder." At 48 years old, Jericho is not only a household name, but is leading the charge for AEW in building their foundation. Very few people in wrestling nowadays are a more stable person to build around. At one point I thought that they would go with the bold choice and let Page take the title and build him, but I also knew giving the gold to the established star was the right decision especially heading to October 2nd on TNT. One more note is that Jericho is now the only person to have held gold in NJPW, WWE, ECW, WCW, CMLL, and AEW he has become an "Icon".
