This Day in Wrestling History: 2/28/202/28/2020 As always wrestling gives us both great memories and memories we try and forget, but with the amount of moments worth remembering that have happened we are bound to forget some. The same could be said about some talent that were very much underrated during their career or never at the top of a company during a run this unfortunately makes it easier for fans to forget certain talent. These two are very different talent and had two very different careers while they worked in this great business. Sometimes we encounter those that deserve to be remembered and acknowledged. I would like to wish a very big Happy Birthday to all who are celebrating their special day today and especially to the one featured below. Nerd Note: During the height of his career Ricky Steamboat was part of one of the greatest underrated feuds of all time. The feud included Steamboat & Jay Youngblood against Sgt Slaughter & Don Kernodle this would be one of the earliest major cards for the mid-Atlantic region and these teams would produce one of the top matches of the decade.

Nerd Note: Pierre Lefebvre better known as "Mad Dog" Pierre Lefebvre had a similar look to Mad Dog Vachon and would become a headliner in Canada. Pierre was one of many Canadian stars unable to realize his full potential leaving us far to soon passing away as a result of a car wreck on Christmas Eve 1985. During the territory era wrestling was plagued with a number of unfortunate events and in the span of ten years three car accidents took away a number of legends from wrestling fans. Joey Marella and Adrian Adonis would be tragically pass away as a result of a car accident in 1994 and 1988 respectively. Pierre passed away at the age of 30 years old, Adrien Desbois, local area legend Tarzan Tyler were the other passengers in the car at the time of the accident.

Nerd Note: Even though Ricardo Rodriguez spent time in WWE as a wrestler Jimmy Jacobs never did and was one of the stars that signed with WWE to work in a non wrestling manner. Jacobs was on the creative during his tenure in WWE and was actually the writer behind the advent of the "List of Jericho." Rodriguez was one of the many stars that were comedic relief, but could've done a lot more if given the opportunity.

Nerd Note: During the height of Jersey Shore craze TNA Wrestling took a chance on creating their very own characters based on the series when they introduced Robbie E and Cookie based on Jersey Shore characters Pauly D and Snookie. Female wrestler Becky Bayless was the lady behind the Cookie gimmick. The other wrestler featured Dory Funk Jr would spend time in the early days of ECW as he would help elevate the talent of the future in the young company.
