This Day in Wrestling History: 5/28/195/28/2019 As always wrestling gives us both great memories and memories we try and forget, but with the amount of moments worth remembering that have happened we are bound to forget some. The same could be said about some talent that were very much underrated during their career or never at the top of a company during a run this unfortunately makes it easier for fans to forget certain talent. These two are very different talent and had two very different careers while they worked in this great business. Also sometimes we encounter those that deserve to be remembered and acknowledged. I would like to wish a very big Happy Birthday to all who are celebrating their special day today and especially to the one featured below.

Now we start from the beginning with the first episode of the mini docu-series from Viceland about wrestling's greatest mysteries. The first episode was focused on the relationship between Randy Savage & Miss Elizabeth. One of the reasons that I enjoyed both documentaries I have seen thus far is because of the unique perspective it provides us with on the past. Anyone who has read an article on the site knows how much I like getting in the wrestling time machine and revisiting the past. The documentary talks about: - The Early years of Randy Savage - Making the move to the WWF - It being more than a persona - Hulk and Liz's relationship - Martial issues starting between Savage & Liz starting and much more!!

Recently the channel Viceland has been releasing a variety of documentaries regarding the dark side of wrestling. A lot of the stories covered in the docu-series are stories that haven't received the type of attention in recent years like they should've or haven't gotten the chance to be told to a modern wrestling audience. One of those stories was the story of Bruiser Brody and what happened that fateful night in Puerto Rico over 30 years ago. As I mentioned on Twitter I actually saw this documentary and if any of the others are like this one then I want to binge watch them all, because this documentary not only gives a side of the story never told before, but it is in depth look into how it effected them. Though they might not talk about it in the documentary when they talk about Brody you can see how losing him effected them all. This might be some of the most vivid and amazing documentaries ever made about the world of professional wrestling. Below is some of what is included in the documentary: Events leading up to that night Brody wanting to buy into the Puerto Rico territory Previous history with Invader #1 Brody's Life Outside Wrestling What Happened after the murder Narrated by Mick Foley |
