As always wrestling gives us both great memories and memories we try and forget, but with the amount of moments worth remembering that have happened we are bound to forget some. The same could be said about some talent that were very much underrated during their career or never at the top of a company during a run this unfortunately makes it easier for fans to forget certain talent. At one point both these men were among the most underrated talents in the business but in recent years things have changed since Cody left WWE. Since then Cody has finally tapped into his potential to become one of the top stars in the wrestling business. To give you an idea of how underrated Leo Burke was Bret Hart called him one of the best he's ever been in the ring with which is very high praise. I would like to wish a very big Happy Birthday to all who are celebrating their special day today and especially to the one featured below.

Recently, there have been reports that for the first time I can remember the WWE doesn't hold the exclusive rights to run wrestling events in Madison Square Garden. For decades the WWE has been the only company to run events at the "World's Most famous Arena" and at one point was actually the companies home base. Early on in the height of the territory era the company running there monthly events at the Garden became a staple in the early days of the new arena. There is a reason that photos of many WWE legends like Bruno, Hogan and Andre are hung around the Garden and even why they honored Hogan a few years ago at MSG. I don't believe that I would be far off saying that without the Garden there would be no WWE.
However, tension has began to arise in the relationship following the announcement of WrestleMania 35 returning to the tri-state area and MSG not getting any of the events for the weekend. Instead of going to Garden they gave all the events to the Barclay's Center based on production cost for renting the arena. Though from a financial standpoint it does make sense why the WWE has chosen to avoid the Garden, but I can also understand the other side of things and how MSG looks at losing out on the biggest weekend for wrestling. With wrestling having such a history in the hallowed halls of the Garden I think it's fair to think that the WWE should at least hold one event in the arena. Now I was a part of the back half of Summerslam weekend last year and by the end it was clear that the fans weren't as into what they were watching as they were at the start of the weekend. I still think that the company should mix things up and make use of the excess of arenas within the tri-state. Just imagine being able to attend an NXT event in the Garden this way those that are being groomed for the future can share the same hallowed halls as such legends from the past. These two talents couldn't be more different as one I think had a better career behind the camera than in front of it. I would like to wish a very big Happy Birthday to all who are celebrating their special day today and especially to the one featured below.
It's been a long time but I am finally getting all the opinions together and setting up the second fan interaction post of the year. These posts are always fun because it allows me to let you all have the spotlight and state your opinions as oppose to you always having to read about mine. Recently, I have been thinking up ideas for fan interaction posts I could do later on in the year so you will be seeing more to come later this year. But for now here is the question for this one:
Question: What made you become a wrestling fan and why do you keep coming back to wrestling? Attitude of Aggression: What made me a wrestling fan? Man, when I was like 12, we did not have the Internet or anything. I remember a kid in class brought in The Wrestler and PWI for like a Show and Tell and I looked through the magazines and I was hooked. All those larger than life characters. Good guys, bad guys, blood, gold...what was there not to like? The pageantry was so over the top and once I started watching it....I was hooked. I remember watching WWF and Georgia Championship Wrestling and despite the very different styles, I was a lifelong fan. Why do I keep coming back? Look, I get as frustrated with the current product, at times, as anyone. But all that stuff that appealed to me when I was a kid...it is all still there! Pro wrestling is the purest form of theater there is with the added element of physicality. It is a live action movie that is right in your face...and those men and women only get one take. I love it for the stories, for the athleticism, and because unlike so many other mediums it almost always delivers at least a few moments, every week, that make you smile. DWI Podcast: As a kid the larger than life characters along with the athleticism. Wild storylines and crazy promos. The continuing story and production value of WWE keeps me coming back! Sam: I started watching wrestling because it was a way to bond with my brother. I keep coming back because it always been a part of my life. I can’t imagine my life without wrestling in it. Through the Ropes Wrestling: "It's probably the same story as a good majority of fans, WWE was what got me started off at a very young age, But I believe it was a WWE video game for me that started me off, The SmackDown vs.. Raw game in 2005, I think I was about eight but I honestly can't remember, because it's always been in my life. Around the time of getting into WWE, I went to local wrestling events and I think that it established my love for pro wrestling, the feel of the shows and not just the fancy stages and fireworks. The local shows were barebones, Just lights and music in a posh concert hall. I can't really say what it was that attracted me, maybe it was the fact that at such a young age, It was a cool thing... However, Around 2010, going into '11, I felt although I started to lose my passion for wrestling, despite watching and loving the old stuff and the Indie shows just the same, WWE's new programming just wasn't the same anymore. It really made me confused. Then I came across TNA on Challenge TV in the UK, and it completely reassured me that my passion was indeed wrestling and nothing else. It made me realise that what I enjoyed in wrestling was the in-ring ability, good wrestling matches and not just the WWE style brawls and boring matches all the time. I still love watching WWE content, Just not the new era from '10 onwards, bar a few matches with some of my favourites, to me it is just the same old ditty every week, nothing payed off for my loyal fanship. As you're aware from my previous articles, I'm a deep admirer of the work of Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and Shawn Michaels, aswell as Gail Kim, Madison Rayne and Mickie James, Men and Women who truly put on a display as to just being there for merely as a showman like The Rock or someone who is just the look like Brock Lesnar. What makes me come back is the thrill of seeing another good match, Getting antsy and having my breath taken away from me. To be able to just, even if for one moment, truly believe that wrestling was real again." For more from those featured above: http://www.attitudeofaggression.com/ Here's What: "All Things WWE" (Samantha Vitello) https://throughtheropes.wixsite.com/wrestling http://thechairshot.com/ We are changing things up this time around as I think showing a little of focus on certain talent is needed to offer some differentiation between each of articles. One thing that the 1980's is known for is being the golden age for managers in wrestling especially in the east coast namely with the WWE. However, the man named Ernie Roth would get his start up in the Detroit area starting as the manager of the Original Sheik. After traveling around with Sheik in both the states and Canada he would find his way to the WWWF and would dawn the name of the Grand Wizard. Wizard would be one of the only managers and was the first one to lead two stars to the WWE title those names are Stan Stasiak and Billy Graham. The other chosen name is Mick Foley who I don't really think that anyone needs me to go over the career that this man has had in the wrestling business. Nobody has given more to the business than Foley who for over 25 years gave everything that he could to the wrestling business. Looking back there were rumors that prior to Dean Ambrose making his way to the main roster that Foley wanted to help him but couldn't get medically cleared to return in the ring anymore. That alone is enough to show what exactly he did to have the legacy he earned. Overall these two men had very different careers in wrestling and even though one never got in the ring they both had a tremendous impact on the business.
Last time around we spoke about the return of Scott Hall to WCW and the start of a war with one challenge. This is the continuation of the history making angle that week by week would change the wrestling industry and start World Championship Wrestling on a path of building momentum and success which is something they never did before. It is crazy to think that for years before this the writing for the WCW was less then good and saw a lot of things went wrong. But the writing for the NWO feud was very well done and for at least a year everything worked out perfectly. However, taking the next step in the feud from the return of Scott Hall we see the first interaction with Scott Hall and a WCW star. On the June 3 edition of Monday Nitro Scott would return and get would be confronted by Sting and the slow build continued with Scott referencing his insurance that will be arriving soon. Moving to the June 10 edition of Nitro in another confrontation in the announce area and this would be when Kevin Nash made his return to the company. With Kevin showing up this would turn things toward a more "Invasion" feel and raised the intensity to a level never seen before.
