Some companies start with a ton of fan fare, excitement, anticipation. However, some companies just have about them starting up and never really get off the ground. Now I will be taking you back to the year 2011 once again as we revisit am idea that was suppose to be a new company, but never got off the ground. Who remembers the Wrestling Revolution project which would have been unlike any other promotion before it. Sadly this project never got off the ground and we never got the opportunity to see if this idea could work. Well now let's go back to the summer of 2011 and see how many of us remember this short lived project
Over the past couple of months dirt sheets have been reporting that former WCW employee & ex Hollywood director Jeff Katz is making his own Wrestling Company. The Wrestling Revolution project will be unlike anything before it because it will tape a full season in one week then use Hulu, Netflix, & DVDs to make his product known. Jeff was an Internet writer for WCW when he was 16 in the later years of WCW around 1999-2000 & he was also one of the driving forces behind the Freddy vs Jason movies so after WCW he was a success (for all this info and more consult Chris Jericho Undisputed). Jeff has gotten the likes of Ken Doane (aka Kenny Dykstra), Colt Cabana, Dr. Luther, Kenny Omega, MVP, & Alex Reynolds are a part of it so far but more will be added as the taping draws nearer. The season starts in October which when he tapes the full thing and then added to the places I made note of before, it would be interesting to see where this goes. This like Resistance Pro & Mid West Wrestling will add different flavors to the ever changing outline of the Wrestling Scene in the United States. Author's Note: I for one think that this idea would have been a different twist on a wrestling company.

For this weeks edition of the So Far Back Sunday, I jump way back in time to the late summer of 2011 when ROH was sold to the television company named Sinclair Broadcasting. With Sinclair ROH has been able to have a wider reach for the shows and thus has expanded the popularity of the company due to it's ability to reach a wider audience. However, this post isn't just about ROH being sold to Sinclair it is more so about the night that ROH ran their first show on the TV station. As certain things changed other then ownership of the company these things included, a new announce team, a new TV champion on this show was crowned, and who could forget this was the last show for one of ROH's top teams. Things changed on that night in September 2011 in many ways for ROH and most of those ways were for the betterment of the company. Now please join as we take a trip back in the wrestling time machine to relive ROH's debut episode on Sinclair Broadcasting. Enjoy!!! Tonight ROH will return to TV under new ownership & on a new TV station with the Sinclair Broadcasting System. You will see tonight main event The Kings of Wrestling vs Wrestling Greatest Tag Team which will be the Kings last ROH appearance before going to the WWE. We will see the return of a former ROH world champion tonight as well. Bravados vs Future Shock (Cole & O' Riley) a feud that has been going on for a while now between two of the top young teams in wrestling comes to ahead tonight. A new broadcast team as both Hogwood & Dave is out giving Kevin Kelly the lead role at the table with an unknown partner or he might be solo.
Also for the next few weeks some the matches you'll see on ROH TV are: Davey defends the title against Roderick Strong in the main event. Generico also defends the TV Title against Jay Lethal. Finally a rematch from Defy or Deny between Edwards & Elgin & a feud that has gone on & on& on for most of the year ANX VS The Briscoe's in a grudge match. Also there are two more matches Tomasso Ciapma vs Andy “Right Leg” Ridge & Jimmy Jacobs vs Mike Bennet. Tonight officially starts a New Era in ROH and guarantee it will get off with a BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check Your Local Listings for more Info

A few months ago I started to post videos on YouTube with the How I Would Book it series after moving to video instead of using Microsoft Word. Now after about two months of posting videos I feel like it is the right time to expand the content on my channel. Currently all that is uploaded to the channel is parts to the How I Would Book it series. That series isn't ending well the WWE edition of the series will be ending soon, but the series in general wont be ending anytime soon. All that is happening is that I will be adding more content to the channel. Now let me explain why this post has the title it has, well the simple explanation is because I want to know what all of you want to see and even what you all want I guess have in a YouTube channel. Whether it's more TEW videos or CAW (Created Superstar) WWE 2k15 series, which would be basically a "federation of Created Superstars" on my WWE 2k15 game. Also any suggestions or feedback is welcomed I won't know what I am doing wrong if nobody tells me, because as I said I have only been doing this for 2 months and am still extremely new to this form of video making. Please just keep in mind that if you don't like my content nobody is forcing you to watch it so you don't have to, Thanks!!! For more Videos and To All of the Content: Click Here

For this weeks edition of So Far Back Sunday, we take a trip back in time to January of 2014 when the YES Movement officially arrived. Following the unfortunate events of this past Monday's episode of Raw which saw Daniel unfortunately had to vacate the Intercontinental championship. But now let's go back to a time when Daniel was healthy and him being on the shelf wasn't common place, the night was of January 21st 2014: Over the course of the last few months we have seen the ascension of as far as I am concerned the future of the WWE and his name is Daniel Bryan. If anyones stock in WWE has jolted up since the summer it is Bryan. I look this as a fan as someone getting what they finally deserve to get and someone whose worked very hard to get to where he is right now. I have been a fan of Daniel Bryan since his days on the Independent circuit and happy to say I have followed him for as long as I have because now I am able to see him reach the pinnacle. Now that I think about it even with all of his success he really hasn't gotten the chance to run with the ball and be the guy in WWE. I hope in 2014 WWE gives Daniel the ball and tells him to run with it because if anyone deserves the opportunity to be champion for a long time it's him. As many fans may remember last year the craze was Fandangoing which was one of the many things center stage in the post Wrestlemania crowd last year. But this year the craze is YES and the two videos I will post below proves it: Michigan State does YES!! Chant & The ending of Last weeks Raw.

Let Your Voice Be Heard: T-Shirts5/15/2015 For the last few months I have been trying to figure out ways to grow the brand of Wrestling Express and I have to say that I am struggling with it. As I am extremely inexperience when comes to figuring out how to grow a brand considering I have never had to or never had the chance to. The reason for this post is for all of you who read the posts to get a chance and "Let Your Voice Be Heard" because as the old goes "I will only supply if there is a demand" or "if you make it they will come." Meaning, if you guys and gals say you want T-Shirts well then my friends you all will get T-shirts; because if I know that people will buy I would be more than happy to make the shirts. If I could be serious for a second, in six years of writing I have never asked for feedback like this, but in reality the expansion of this site depends on..... You!!!! The fact of the matter is I love this site, I love writing about wrestling, I take pride in every single post I do, and I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't have a passion for it. Below is a rough idea of what the shirt would look like: Author's Note: I do have one other design, but I just have to make sure that the wrestler that I'd be designing is ok with me "advertising" that fact. Also remember below is just the rough idea of what the shirt may look like, I am of course open to feedback or even possible suggestions.

The only way you actually don't know who the Young Bucks are is if you have been living under a rock for the last 2 years or so, because over that span this tag team has become one of the more controversial teams and one of the best teams in wrestling. Currently, the Bucks are members of the top stable in New Japan Pro-Wrestling known as the Bullet Club and they are also core roster members in PWG out of California. In the past the Bucks have worked for various companies including TNA and ROH as well as numerous others. Like in any other profession if you succeed on your own someone is going to want a piece of your success to try and make their company or team the best. This is the case with the Young Bucks as they are being pursued by various other companies within the US.
Over the past few years the Bucks have been working various ROH events here and there for the company after being away for a few years. But now it seems as though ROH is looking to try and secure the Young Bucks on a more exclusive contract than before. Then you have Lucha Underground who is said to be very interested in securing the Bucks as some new talent to debut for the company in Season 2. The last company with a vested interest in the Bucks is TNA who is said to be making a big play for the team as a way to bring them into the company. Now I am totally unsure what this would mean for their contracts in NJPW if they were to sign a more exclusive contract with either of these companies. I believe that the Bucks would be ok with working for these companies if they still allowed them to work in Japan. At this point not enough is known about any of these contract talks to know if any of these companies have fallen out of the race or are even close to signing the Bucks. The only thing we do know is whichever company has the Young Bucks is able to say they have one of the most exceptionally gifted teams in wrestling history.

So Far Back Sunday: Punk Walks Away5/10/2015 Although many people may now view Punk as a d*** because of comments he made about the pro-wrestling business and being seemingly ungrateful of what he accomplished in the business doesn’t mean we can’t still praise his impact. Over the last ten years very few people if anyone has had the impact on the WWE that CM Punk had on the company. That’s all the praising I am giving him because he moved on and so should we he is out of wrestling and if he returns fine and if he doesn’t that’s fine also. Right now the present doesn’t matter because all I want if for you the reader to join me in the wrestling time machine once again as we go back to January 27th 2014 the "Night the Punk Walked Away from Wrestling." For those who may not have heard, but the huge news today in the World of Wrestling is that former WWE Champion and self professed "Best in the World" has quit WWE. That's right, with only months left on his contract CM Punk "took his ball and went home." This is said to be why Punk wasn't on Monday Night Raw this past Monday Night. Well the reason why Punk walked out on WWE is simple really he is sick of part-timers being given everything including Wrestlemania. Punk doesn't like that part-timers seemingly get treated better than the full-time guys. I for one agree with him because the Full-Time guys are here every week, yet they are made to look like jokes most of them. Punk had the testicular fortitude to stand up for himself and all the other guys and I respect him for that and I hope others follow suit. Now for those asking if this is real or not I am telling you its very real and apparently Punk's walking out has been a long time coming. Punk has been very frustrated about WWE bringing in the Part-Timers and giving them the big Main Event programs instead of the Full-Timers. Punk has also been unhappy with the handling of his character and the overall direction of the company. Last note is that as of this writing it is said that Punk chose to walk out after a disagreement with staff over future character directions. Finally I thought I would mention something from Independent Booker & Former ROH Booker Gabe Sapolsky. He said "However, knowing Punk I would be shocked if he ever did an Independent Wrestling show again." He goes on to say "We should just leave Punk alone, let him recharge, refresh and get his life back. Just leave him alone and let him be." So with that being said, people can talk all they want, but I agree with Gabe, I think Punk needs to take time to relax, unwind, & refresh as he has been going full throttle for a long time now. Well I want to be one of the first to say: I would like to wish CM Punk the Best of luck in what ever he tries to do next and if he ends up back in WWE so be it, but the most important thing is it has to be for Punk. I hope he straight things out and that is what is best for him and his future. Good Luck Punk!!!! Author's Note: Not all of these glances back in time will be nice or not carry a little bit of controversy, because people have their opinion on this situation especially and that's fine, but that doesn't mean I can't post this. Also notice how I call him Punk during the entire post that is because I am fan of his not his friend and therefore don't have the right to call him by his real name.

The next installment of the So Far Back Sunday series, takes us to late last year when an Indy wrestling legend wrestled his last match. Last December we watch "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce retire from pro-wrestling after 18 years as an active wrestler. Now follow me into the time machine as we look back at that day: Sometimes in this business things present itself, where people are given opportunities to make it in the sport and other times they aren't given an opportunity to be in the big companies. Also sometimes people don't get in the business to make it big they get in the business for a love of the business and just to get that rush when you perform in front of an audience. One of those wrestlers who had been honing his craft and had been given opportunities called it a career this past weekend after 18 years in the business. "Scrap Daddy" Adam Pearce was one of the most known talents on the Indy circuit which comes after being on the Independents for the last 18 years and making a stable name for himself as a known name for many different companies around the US like Championship Wrestling From Hollywood, JCW, IWA-MS, and other NWA territories. Adam also has had appearances in all of the major United States wrestling companies including WWE, WCW, & NWA-TNA. Pearce also became by far one of the longest reigning NWA World Champions of the modern era by holding the title for 1,078 days which is good enough for 7th on the all time list of NWA champions. In recent memory Adam was lighting up the Indy circuit a couple of years ago in an incredible feud with Colt Cabana over the NWA World Title which was aptly named the Seven Levels of Hate. Also in the last year Adam has appeared on TNA as a part of the old Gut-Check things and also has been a guest trainer and producer for the WWE at the Performance Center. Adam's most recent trip to the Performance Center saw him be a producer for the WWE's latest NXT special which overall was highly praised and outdid the WWE PPV. Outside of the business Adam tried out last season to be the San Diego Padres PA announcer, as of this writing, I don't know how it went or if he got it or not but one can only hope. Also more recently on February 5, 2015 Adam Pearce was inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame as the first inductee of the Class of 2015. So congratulations are in order and the honor was well deserved for the "Maniac in Black." Author's Note: I have been a big fan of Pearce for a long time actually and am of course saddened to see him be done with active competition, but I hope this doesn't mean he is done with wrestling because he has a really good mind for the business and was in my book an incredible talker. I also hope that the WWE realizes what they could have with Adam and takes advantage of it instead of taking it for granted. In conclusion, I would like to wish Adam the best of luck now that his career is over and hope that his career was everything he wanted and more. Below is a match from the Seven Level's of Hate Series between Adam Pearce and Colt Cabana. Thanks for the Memories "Scrap Daddy" |
