This Day in Wrestling History: 7/28/187/28/2018 As always wrestling gives us both great memories and memories we try and forget, but with the amount of moments worth remembering that have happened we are bound to forget some. The same could be said about some talent that were very much underrated during their career or never at the top of a company during a run this unfortunately makes it easier for fans to forget certain talent. These two are very different talent and had two very different careers while they worked in this great business. Also sometimes we encounter those that deserve to be remembered and acknowledged. I would like to wish a very big Happy Birthday to all who are celebrating their special day today and especially to the one featured below.

Why I Will Never Stop Watching7/27/2018 A few weeks ago at this point I wrote an article about why I don't watch WWE as much and in it really detailed some dissatisfaction. (Click Here for Full Article) Now the attention isn't just on the WWE and it is wrestling in general because as Cornette has said in the past "Wrestling in the only thing that less people watch now then they use to." To me that means that people eventually walk away from professional wrestling for one reason or another but I wont be one of those people.
In the past I have mentioned the struggle I have with depression and anxiety which sometimes gets a little hard to handle. However, watching wrestling, thinking about booking wrestling, or playing a wrestling game calms me down. Wrestling has always been that one thing I can turn to as a way to help me relax and eliminate the bad feelings. Fact of the matter is at this point I have been watching for almost 20 years and have seen so many incredible talents debut and I have even been fortunate enough to see some wrestlers entire careers. Knowing that is a little insane in my opinion because it really puts into perspective how long you have been a fan; for example I remember when Edge was a new face in the company and then I remember watching when he retired. Over the years I have been fortunate enough to be witness to a number of incredible moments which has also gave way to a long list of memories which I wouldn't trade for anything. You see everyone has those moments where they remember where they were when something happened and all of those for me are tied to wrestling. For example, I remember where I was when I found out Eddie Guerrero died, I remember where I saw my first PPV, and I remember when I first watch the Austin 3:16 promo. I have been called an encyclopedia of wrestling knowledge and I wouldn't have it any other way as it doesn't matter how many times I get frustrated watching it'll never go away. The excitement to see a big match, the energy I get going to a live show, the ability to put aside the "mark" and just be a fan, and most importantly the passion; all these things will never go away because they are things that make me who I am and wrestling is the reason why I am me. Overall it might be crazy to say but I don't know where I'd be without pro-wrestling and though I might only write about it in a way it has given me two passions for the price of one. As now I don't only have pro-wrestling to love, but pro-wrestling has allowed to gain a love of writing as well which really puts the icing on the cake.

Random Wrestling Video of the Day7/14/2018 Here's something I haven't done for a long time and I think it had something to do with the simplicity of the article. However, it could also be that I hadn't found anything worth sharing with you for this amount of time. But now one thing that has changed is that I have started watching a little more podcasts including Jim Cornette which is how I stumbled upon this video. For those who don't know back in around 1994 or 1995 the WWE sent Undertaker to Smokey Mountain Wrestling as a way for him to scout a future opponent it was Glenn Jacobs aka Kane. But what makes this video interesting is the not just the idea that The Undertaker wrestled in OVW for one match. The part that I found most interesting was Jim's initial plan for the show as he wanted The Rock instead, but it just wasn't possible at the time. I really don't understand why this stopped happening where WWE would send talent to developmental to pop ticket sales especially in NXT with Triple H running the thing. The only thing I can think of is if you look at "valued" developmental was in the period following 2002 and that amazing class.

Stinger Gets the Gold7/7/2018 Now most fans really forget about the period of time in WCW history pre-Hogan, but in many ways there were underrated moments and events that have fallen out of the spotlight through the years. This event is one of those that have fallen out of the spotlight and it's amazing to think the history this event carries that it could've been forgotten. I know that if you'd take a quick look at the matches on the show you'd think nothing of this event other then the main event and call it a one match show. If you think that then you'd be right as the main event was really the only spectacular match with the tag matches specifically the one featuring the Midnights helping the show out. The reason that I chose to give this event the spotlight was that this would be the event that Sting would gain his first World Title reign. Two years after he debuted with the WCW they had built him up from day one to fill the role of a top star. I'm not sure that they could've imagined he would reach the status he did to lead the company but it speaks to Dusty's eye for talent that he protected Sting from the start. Though his reign wouldn't be the best looking at you Black Scorpion it would be the start of things to come for the man that would be known as the "Icon." Great American Bash 1990
