Let me get something out of the way first, look in everything I have posted on Twitter and any other outlet of social media over the course of the last 48 hours I have never said that Dana isn't entitled to his opinion. If I did I would be wrong and I am man enough to admit that because it's a fact. However, I am going to say that what Dana White said is right No I will not because I absolutely don't believe what he said was justified or correct.
Top of Form Now before someone jumps down throat and discounts my opinion or this post, let me just say that if Dana White is entitled to his opinion about the sport that we all love then we are entitled to our opinion as well. I have been using this example, lately as it pertains to people who as a certain WWE Legend would use the F*** word and no I am not talking about dropping an F bomb. The word I am speaking of is the exact word that he used to disrespect the business and anyone who has ever stepped into that ring. That is why, since early Saturday various wrestlers and practically any fan with a social media account has expressed their opinion on Mr. White's comments. Look I don't care if you think like he does that's fine, but at least respect the fact that some do believe it's real and don't disrespect them, because their views are so much different then yours. First off I am not trying to be the type of "World peace" person that would say things sort of like this I am saying this because the world of Pro-Wrestling doesn't get the respect it deserves. All I am saying is have RESPECT for the athletes that step in that ring, whether in the Major companies or on the Indies and take real risks for you. Yet you'll go on social media and disrespect them and insult their body of work even when you know that you wouldn't be able to do what they do. In particular those who are employed by the company in Connecticut spend 300+ plus days a year on the road and in most cases away from their families, yet you insult them and what they do for a living just because you don't believe it is 100% legit. Well, how about this you get in the ring and do what they do and then say it isn't 100% legit. People question what they don't agree with, are jealous of, or don't understand and one of these categories are where he falls. I don't just blame it on ignorance, because I can't as I believe he knew what he was saying and meant every word. I don't discount what he has done with the UFC, but the fact is that doesn't give him the okay to say whatever the ***** he wants and not expect certain people to explode and defend. Someone may ask why am I defending this profession that is because I will do everything I can to defend this profession and I won't stop backing up every single person who ever stepped foot in that ring. The reason is because I love this business and my life is this business so I will DEFEND this profession with everything I have. Everything that goes on inside that ring may not be 100% legit, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt, that doesn’t mean there are no injuries, that doesn’t mean accidents don’t happen, and that sure as hell doesn’t mean hitting that mat doesn’t hurt. Before you criticize how you ask yourself this question “Can I do that” or how about “Could it be real.” Though the finishes are the part that isn’t 100% legit that doesn’t mean everything in that ring isn’t 100% legit and that doesn’t people don’t watch and love it more than anything else. Thank you for letting me rant a little bit about this I am aware that this just gives him more attention. But I felt the need to address my feelings on the situation and now you know. To be honest, you can agree or disagree with what I said above either way it's my opinion and it doesn't have to be yours! Bottom of Form
