How I Would Book Bret Hart in WCW Part 211/22/2018 One thing that is unclear about his stay in the WCW is exactly what stopped the company from going with the Hart vs Hogan feud that so many fans wanted to see. At Bash at the Beach 1998 we would get Bret Hart against Hulk Hogan for the first time and it would end when British Bulldog would shockingly turn on Bret Hart costing him the World Title and effectively joining the New World Order. Then the explanation would come the next day when Bulldog with the rest of the NWO explaining his reasons for turning on the "Hitman." Hart would first have a rematch against Hennig in August at Road Wild after the first match ending in disqualification a few months prior. From there we move to Fall Brawl and War Games with Bret Hart's team against the New World Order; Bret's team would include Goldberg, Diamond Dallas Page, Ric Flair, and Sting.
We head off to the Halloween tradition event Halloween Havoc and Bret Hart going against Davey Boy Smith for the first time since heel turn. Now I do think that this match would hurt things showing Davey's age, but if anyone could help Davey Boy to a solid match it would be his brother in law. Next event would be World War III and a very different six man tag match when Bret Hart, Randy Savage, and Dallas Page would come together against Hogan, and The Outsiders. The rematch would take place at the biggest PPV of the year Starrcade and Bret Hart would finally secure the big victory against the Hulkster. This means that Starrcade 1998 would go off the air with the Hitman finally earning the richest prize in WCW setting up all new feuds heading into 1999 with Hart as champion. Imagine Bret fighting Page, Sting, Hogan, or Goldberg for the WCW Title how different things would've been during that time if such a small change took place. Welp! This is how I would have book it and let me know what you think!!
