It's Been a Year and a Wonder

A year ago the wrestling world was turned upside down as we all were shocked to find that the "Ninth Wonder of the World" Joanie Lauer passed away. Though during the Monday Night Wars drug use was rampant in every companies locker room and a lot of the talent would develop drug problems some have a more well known history then others, but most if not all have gotten over their issues. During her career Chyna was unlike any woman on the roster as she not just worked with the men, but she also was better in the ring then some of the guys.

From her debut in the company back in the mid 1990's she hadn't been booked or looked like any other woman in the company. In a period were woman weren't really taken that seriously in the company she was the only one looked at as a serious competitor. Not only did they give her a Royal Rumble appearance, but she had her debut as the number 30th entry. She would also be given a run with the Intercontinental in September of that same year defeating Jeff Jarrett at No Mercy. Chyna's push was originally set up to give her a WWF Title Match in the Main Event of Summerslam against Steve Austin, but plans changed.

Now there is no doubting the legacy that Chyna has left on the business. She was never looked at as the similar to the other woman in the company as to compare her and Debra is almost an impossible comparison. She was unlike anyone that has been in the ring before or since, because she is a legend in her own right and deserves to be remembered and never forgotten.
