Match of the Week: Road Warriors vs Fabulous Freebirds

Earlier this week the Road Warriors were the subject of the most recent edition of Dark of the Ring and I thought it was fitting to find a match of there's worth sharing. Instead of looking later in their careers to find one that highlights them when things started heading south I chose a match from the height of the Road Warriors. Both Animal and Hawk debuted in the 1980's and within three years were among the biggest stars in wrestling. These two were and still are unlike most anything or anyone who has spent foot in the ring ever since. 

This week's Dark Side of the Ring took a look at the Road Warriors life and career as a tag team they also spent time talking about the issues that trouble Road Warrior Hawk for most of his in ring career. I have said it before and will again Dark Side of the Ring is the best wrestling documentary out there today. Though some might have been a miss not everyone can hit a home run every time they take a swing. However, the season finale which takes place on Tuesday, May 19, will end things on a high note, because Owen Hart is where our season ends!!
